It’s about 30 hours before kickoff and the Eagles have to feel good knowing that Quintin Demps will be returning kickoffs and not Macho Harris.
The Eagles have a special teams advantage with DeSean Jackson returning punts and David Akers kicking field goals. The addition of Demps closes what could have been a problem on the kickoff return unit.
I’m confident that field position and turnovers will play a big role in this game, I was pleased to find out yesterday that Quintin Demps will be returning kickoffs on Sunday for the Birds.
I don’t want to see Macho Harris out there after last week’s fumbles. If it wasn’t for Victor Abiamiri’s alert play, Harris would have cost the Eagles the Broncos game.
Demps is the best kickoff returner they have on the football team and I think it’s a major plus that he’s going to be able to go.
He does a better job of attacking the coverage and seeing the opening, plus he protects the football better than Macho.
The Cowboys are in the video room trying to figure out what the Eagles are going to do with Michael Vick on third down and on the goalline.
Andy Reid knows that Vick will take up time in the Cowboys preperation and that’s why on Wednesday he made sure that everybody knew he might play.
‚ÄúYeah, he could. He‚Äôs feeling good. He practiced today. We have a couple things in for him. I look forward to getting him back in there and playing” said Reid.
He’s been rehabilitating a thigh contusion, which occurred in the San Francisco game.
Gradually as the season has progressed the Eagles have come up with effective ways to utilize his skills.
