This Was Worse Than A Disappointing Performance

McNabb running from pressure What can you possibly say after a per- formance that was so terribly disappointing?  The Eagles didn’t play well on offense, defense or special teams.

The coaching staff didn’t do a good job since they were thoroughly outcoached by the Dallas staff.  I give Andy Reid credit for admitting that after the game but that doesn’t excuse it.

There’s not a person who got on the Eagles charter down to Dallas who performed well.

They were dominated from the start of the game to the end of it and it’s going to be difficult for a lot of Eagles fans to see any hope for them winning next weekend.

I’m not shocked that they lost this game but I am shocked that they would come out and have such a poor performance to the point that they got shut out.

Witten scores a TDHow could you get shut out in such a big game?  The Dallas defense is good but they’re not that good.

It was more of the Eagles offense playing poorly than the Cowboys defense playing well.

It starts with Donovan McNabb and his receivers.  McNabb played poorly and threw balls all over the place.

He had DeSean Jackson open deep but missed him.  He’s got to make that throw in a game of this magnitude.  There’s no way you get shutout by anybody

There were way too many drops.  I counted at least six drops.  If you’re not going to catch the football, you give yourself no chance to win.

I thought the offensive line was going to be the problem but Nick Cole and Max Jean-Gilles did a decent job.  Still they have to play better.

There were too many jail breaks to say that the line played well.

Most of the time, McNabb had time but he was either missing the guys when they were open or they were dropping the ball when he did get the ball to them.  Other times the Cowboys put the blanket on the receivers.

What was Jeremy Maclin doing on the last throw when he wasn’t even looking for the football?  How could catch the football if you’re not even looking for the football?  He dropped a couple of passes.

DeSean Jackson looked like that groin injury was bothering him.  He dropped a couple of passes.

Brent Celek had the big day with 7 catches for 96 yards but he also dropped a key pass.
