Numerous Eagles said they were angry about the way they played and were confident that they could again make the plays which they have been making all season long.
They gave the Cowboys credit for playing better but they all were grateful that they have a chance to make up for it.
Quarterback Donovan McNabb said it was never his intention to throw his younger teammates under the bus when he said they showed their youth on Sunday against the Cowboys. McNabb said he realizes he’s the first one who needs to lift his level of play.
When asked about whether he’s concerned about his security with the team for next season, McNabb said he plans on being with the Birds for year and years to come.
Brian Westbrook said they had to be tough-minded if they want to go down there and change the outcome of last week’s game. He said he didn’t think anything McNabb said was a pointing the finger at his younger teammates.
Westbrook said he’s known McNabb a long time and knows that he doesn’t do those types of things.
Jeremy Maclin says they that the team lost their focus. He said everybody had a hand in the team’s defeat whether they were young or old. Maclin said he didn’t have a problem with what McNabb said after the game.
Macho Harris said McNabb had talked about stepping up his own game and the entire team stepping up their game at half time of the game.
Fullback Leonard Weaver said virtually the same thing in acknowledging that they played poorly but are eager to prove that they’re a much better football team.
