I think you will know which team will win tomorrow’s playoff game by the end of the first quarter. The team that’s ahead will win.
I couldn’t over emphasize the importance of first quarter of the Eagles-Cowboys football game. It will bring up past nightmares for each team.
If the Eagles jump out to an early lead, it will turn the pressure up on Tony Romo and the Cowboys, who haven’t won a playoff game in 13 years.
On the other hand, if the Cowboys jump out to a early lead, it will put a tremendous amount of pressure on Donovan McNabb and the Eagles, who have been beaten by Dallas two times this year and 24-0 less than a week ago.
Both teams play much better with the lead.
The Eagles shouldn’t panic if they fall behind but it will be very difficult to resist the temptation of throwing the football every play and giving up on the running game.
Behnd or not, they’ve got to stay with a balanced attack for the first half at least.
If they get ahead, they should go after the big play on offense and defense because a two touchdown lead would get the Cowboys in self destruction mode.
