The Cowboys don’t have a problem with getting the ball to tight end Jason Witten over and over, so the Eagles shouldn’t have any problem getting the ball to Brent Celek over and over.
Tony Romo will take the easy throw to Witten any time he can get it, with no apologies. Donovan McNabb shouldn’t apologize for going to Celek again and again, if he’s open.
I want to see the Eagles start off the game tonight going to Celek. The Cowboys single cover him with a linebacker and he’s been able to get open against that matchup.
It’s called taking what the defense gives you. Dallas is willing to give them the mismatch with Celek as long as they stop the deep throws to DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin.
McNabb and the Eagles must show patience and take it, because early completions to Celek will open up throws to Jackson and Maclin later.
The Birds have been buying into all the big play talk. Since when is there anything wrong with a ten yard gain or fifteen yard gain.
Whatever happened to the west coast offense which the Eagles operate? Is there any wrong with a ten, eleven, twelve or thirteen play drive? I don’t think there is.
Remember the Denver game when the Broncos were focusing on Jackson and Maclin, and the Birds went to Celek in the first half for over 100 yards.
If Celek can beat outside linebacker Bobby Carpenter consistently then, they should keep going to Celek until they take it away.
The Cowboys have no problem getting the ball to Jason Witten, what’s the problem with getting the ball to Celek.
What’s the problem with Celek catching 15 balls in the first half if that’s what it takes?
I think the Eagles are putting too much importance on the deep pass rather than just focusing on find a way to get into the end zone.
Moving the ball and getting in the endzone is the goal.
They don’t write how you got into the endzone on the score board.
The scoreboard only acknowledges that you got there.
