Philly.com reports that Shawn Andrews says he wants to come back and play as a way of thanking Andy Reid for standing by him through his back injuries and depression.
Everybody says get rid of Andrews. I say keep him around, he’s the team’s best offensive lineman.
Remember in 2006 when we had a real running game that we could depend on. The Eagles used to run behind Andrews.
Many people in the media labeled Andrews a quitter when he started having back problems. They said he was faking his back injury. The guy had one surgery and suffered a relapse.
Now after he has had his second back surgery, I still hear and read a lot of people supporting the thought of getting rid of him. I say keep him around.
They made a big deal about him posting some music on Youtube. Who cares? Millions of people post music on Youtube. Is there something wrong with all of them? Do our players have to be robots?
This guy has had two surgeries on his back and the local media still try to say that he’s faking. How could he be faking? Is the surgeon making up the problems with the discs in his back?
Andrews isn’t making very much money, so why not keep him around. If he does finally get healthy then he could improve our offensive line which needs to be improved.
Remember that the Eagles offensive line couldn’t block the Cowboys.
