Phils Agree With Victorino On Three-Year Deal

Victorino leaving the batter's box According to the the Philadelphia Phillies website, yesterday the Phillies and their centerfielder Shane Victorino agreed to a three year deal for 22 million dollars through the 2012 season.

The deal buys out Victorino last two-years of salary arbitration and first year of free agency.

It’s great news because Victorino has been one of the keys to the Phillies success in the last few years.

He’s a great Gold Glove centerfielder, a great base runner and a dependable hitter who knows how to get on base ahead of their big bats.
