Mike Lombardi of the NFL Network says the Eagles have decided to hang on to back up quarterback Michael Vick. I don’t believe it and it smells fishy.
I can’t believe the Eagles would pay a back up quarterback more than $5 million dollars a season.
There’s no way Joe Banner would be able to sleep at night if he knew there was a guy standing on the sidelines making that much money.
I think the Eagles organization is putting that information out there to draw interest in Vick because they want to move him then take care of the situation with McNabb and Kolb.
The only way Vick would stay here would be as a starter. He’s not going to start so I don’t see any way that he stays.
I think that the teams who are interested in him, may feel they can wait and force the Eagles to take much less they’re willing to take now for his services.
All this nonsense about hanging on to Vick is the Birds’ way of trying to increase his percieved value around the league.
I wouldn’t have a problem with them hanging onto him if they were seriously considering it but believe I don’t think they are.
We’ll keep this a secret so the Birds will get a good pick from him.
The pictures you see is Vick appearing on a BET show to promote the eight part documentary about him which be airing on BET every Tuesday night at 10pm.
