It was a controlled and disciplined offensive game plan by the New Orleans Saints, as they took the short throws and stayed away from going deep against the Colts.
There were some close calls on the throws but Drew Brees made all the throws when he had to and his receivers came down with the football.
Their offensive line played well also, giving Brees time to make the throws.
Sean Payton was daring with his calls to go for a touchdown on fourth, which was unsuccessful, but they did recover an onside kick at the start of the second half which proved to be a key to the victor.
The Saints have a million receivers and Brees goes to all of them at any time.  He puts the ball on the  money and these guys get open and come down with the football.
They’re also able to run the football if they sense a defense is weak there.¬† Payton is also willing to go to the screen and Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush are great at running them.
This offense showed all year long that they can beat you in many different ways.
I thought that failure to punch it in at the end of the first half was going to come back to bite them but their defense played a great game and made the difference.
Payton has to get a lot of credit of the showing his players that they were going to play to win rather than playing not to lose.
