Michael Vick was in Baltimore last night for the Ed Block Award dinner and there were also some protesters there to express their regrets that Vick was given the award by his Eagles teammates.
Vick disagrees with them and let it be known again he feels that he deserved the award.
“I think I do exemplify what this award stands for,” Vick said. “I think everybody has a right to their own opinion. I feel like I’ve done everything that I said I would do coming out and moving forward, and that’s most important to me. My peers felt like I was doing the right thing. They felt like I displayed courage and sportsmanship and leadership.”
Vick is making it very clear that he wants to leave Philadelphia and get a job somewhere else as a starter, but last night he was very diplomatic about the fact that he’s still an Eagle.
“I don’t know what the situation may be,” said Vick. “As far as I know, I’m a Philadelphia Eagle, and I will continue to carry out the role that I’ve been playing, and, hopefully, we’ll see what happens.”
