In the East bracket, Temple, along with West Virginia got a raw deal. The Atlantic-10 champion Owls deserved a three-seed or at least a four-seed.
Winning a couple of games in this tournament would prove it to the selection committee.
West Virginia the champions of the Big East tournament should be where Villanova or Duke is situated.  They should have been a one-seed or they should have been given a shot at Duke, the weakest one seed.
Back to Fran Dunphy’s Temple team, they had better be ready for a tough opening round game because this Cornell team gave the number one-seeded Kansas Jayhawks all they could handle.
Another factor will be Cornell’s coach Steve Donohue who was Dunphy’s assistant at Penn for ten years.¬† Donahue will know how to get his team ready for the Owls.
I still think Dunphy and his crew will find a way to get by the Bears of Cornell but it won’t be easy.
I see them playing another close one against Wisconsin in the second round but I have them coming up a little bit short.
I might change my mind before I make my final picks later today, but right now I have them going down in the second round.
I see West Virginia having to deal with Big East rival Marquette in the Sweet Sixteen, while on their way to an Elite Eight battle with Kentucky.
The Wildcats from Kentucky are the class of this section and despite their youth I think they’ll be the last team standing.
