Donovan McNabb Trade Talk Is Burning Up

There are articles about Donovan McNabb all over the internet today and I think quite a few of them are worth reading.

Bob Sansevere of the TwinCities.com, gives us the reasons that Brad Childress and the Vikings should be on the phone to Breff Favre and demand that he tell them right now whether he’s coming back or not.

He tells us why McNabb would a great fit with a team that went to the NFC Championship game a year ago and come up an interception short.

I wonder what Vikings fans will say to Childress if after the second game of the preseason and with McNabb having been traded to another team, Favre informs the Minnesota head coach that he’s not coming back.

I don’t think they would be happy with Brad.

Bob DiCesare of Buffalonews.com says the Bills don’t need to trade for McNabb if he’s going to play only one year there, then head elsewhere.

He doesn’t believe McNabb could make the Bills a winner in one year, so DiCesare doesn’t think making that move would be a good one for Buffalo.

I have to take my hat off to Sam Dennellon for the article he wrote today about McNabb on Philly.com.¬† It’s a sober and fair article.

He points out both McNabb’s strengths and his weaknesses.¬† He points out his accomplishments and his failures.

Dennellon also makes the point that we don’t know much about Kevin Kolb.¬† I will also add that the Eagles don’t know much about him either.

Of course the coaches think they do, but they think they know alot or enough about every player they draft, but a lot of them don’t stay on the team that long.

Jeff McLane of Philly.com reports that McNabb would prefer to go to Minnesota if he has his choice about which team he will be traded to.

He points out the problem with that wise is Brett Favre and there’s no telling when the situation will be resolved, but we know it won’t be before the draft

Ray Rotto of the SFGate.com talks about the prospects of McNabb becoming a Raider. He doesn’t think it’s likely because trading for McNabb would mean Oakland is giving up on former number one pick in the draft, JaMarcus Russell.
