Philly.com contacted Donovan McNabb’s agent Fletcher Smith and he says there have been no conversations between McNabb and the Eagles about where he wants to be traded.
This was a total denial of the reports which have been on ESPN all day about McNabb telling Andy Reid that he doesn’t want to play with the Raiders or the Bills.
According to Philly.com, Smith says he has no reason to believe that a trade is imminent.¬† He went on to say.¬† “If we get to that bridge, we’ll have to cross it.”
Smith says he believes it would be only right that McNabb be told about the Eagles intentions to trade him before the Birds would make that move.
“Donovan has been there a long time. I would think they would want to do right by him, reach out, tell him what their intentions are.”
Finally, when Smith was asked about whether McNabb could come back and play here after all the trade rumors, he responded,
“It can’t be any more difficult than T.O..”
