Raiders Ready To Move Asomugha For McNabb

ESPN’s LenPasqarelli reports that the Raiders have expressed their willingness to trade their Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha for the Eagles veteran QB Donovan McNabb.

Many football people consider Asomugha to be the league’s best cornerback.

He says the Eagles have balked at the deal because the Raiders have intimated that they want McNabb and another player.

The Birds say McNabb would be enough for the deal.

Asomugha is due to make $16 milliion this year and could become a free agent after the season.¬† ESPN says the cornerback’s big salary has made the Eagles reluctant about the deal.

You could understand the desire of the Birds to want to pair two of the best cornerbacks in the league, Asante Samuel and Asomugha.

The Eagles don’t seem like they’re interested in taking on any big new salaries.
