New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning says he’s shocked that the Eagles are intent on trading his long time rival Donovan McNabb.
I can’t say I’m surprised at Manning’s comments because he surely wouldn’t criticize McNabb.¬† They’re fellow franchise quarterbacks and that’s a small community.
Here’s exactly what Manning said:
“It’s shocking that a guy who’s been such an important part of their organization, that they’d want to get rid of him. He’s had great seasons these last couple of years.” Manning went on to say “You kind of heard rumors the last couple of years. I’m kind of waiting to see if something truly happens. Donovan has been a tremendous player for the Eagles, a staple of their organization. He’s a tremendous competitor and a tremendous person.”
