On the Donovan McNabb trade countdown, there have been a couple of reports about the Eagles quarterback not wanting to play in Oakland but wanting to play for the Arizona Cardinals.
TMZ reports that a source close to McNabb said he doesn’t want to play for the Raiders.
That means something to me and it might mean something to you, but I think the Eagles want to do a deal and the Raiders are stupid enough to trade for somebody who won’t sign with them long-term.
Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports says the Cardinals inquired about McNabb’s availability earlier in the off season, but didn’t hear what they wanted to hear, so they acquired Browns castoff Derek Anderson.
Cole says he learned from two people close to McNabb that he wants to play for the Cardinals. That might mean playing a year for the Raiders then heading south to play for the Cards.
