I Have The Eagles Finishing At 8-8 in 2010

Now that you know what the Eagles regular season schedule is, what kind of record do you think they will have. Will Kevin Kolb step in and hit the ground running or will he struggle?

Will they be able to draft some rookies who step in to help them right away?

How many games are they going to win in the division?

How many wins will they get in the conference.

I have them finishing at 8-8.  What about you?

They¬† host the Green Bay Packers to open the season and I don’t think the Eagles defense will be able to slow down this high-powered offense.¬† – L

In the second game they should be able to destroy the Lions in Detroit. – W

In the third week they’ll head to Jacksonville to play a mediocre Jaguars team. ¬† – W

In the fourth week of the season the Birds host McNabb and the Skins.¬† It’ll be a close game but I think Washington will win it. – L

In the fifth week they go to San Francisco and lose to an improving 49ers team.  РL

In the sixth week they host a good Falcons team and lose to them. – L

In the seventh week of the season, they’ll find a way to beat Tennessee. – W

BYE

Indianapolis will come in here and beat them in the week after the bye.  РL

The next week they’ll find a way to beat Washington in the second game.¬† – W

They host the  NewYork Giants in week 11 and find a way to beat them.  РW

They go to Chicago on week 12, and get another win.  РW

They’ll host a good Houston squad on week 13 and win a close one.¬† – W

The Eagles go to Dallas on week 14 and lose to the Cowboys.  РL

The Birds head up the turnpike and lose to the NY Giants . – L

They host Minnesota on week 16 and beat  to the Vikings because the game means nothing to them.  РW

They finish the season hosting the Cowboys and lose again. – L

I think the Eagles will end up 9-7, maybe 10-6. Washington stinks and is adjusting to a new scheme on offense and defense. I think we’ll handle them both times we play. I also think the 49ers have a way to go and we may beat them as well. It all depends on how are young guys develop and of course injuries. If Kolb and/or Bradley goes down we’ll be 2-14.

16-0 and winning the super bowl – why would you ever predict your team to lose – not saying bet money on it, but come on, have some faith! We beat Washintgon and the Giants both times last year – why would you think they could beat us now? These are just random crap shoots – we have a solid record after bye weeks – we typically suck the week before the bye week – did you just flip a coin each to pick each week?

why would anyone take a prediction made in April, before the draft and before a single snap of training camp, seriously?? yeah, everyone does it when the schedule comes out, but it is really a waste of electricity to type or read.

There should be different predictions.

If Kolb is as good as some people think and the Defense gets some good players over the weekend.

10-6

If Kolb sucks if he turns out to be a INT machine

5-11….It wont matter how good the defense is if he plays poor.

I am with Navy. I pick the birds to win the Superbowl and grab their 1st ever Lombardi on top of the Star in Dallas this year. How sweet would it be to go down to big D and win a Superbowl???

It would be one of the greatest sports stories of all time. Until they start playing football this is my pipe dream.

Obviously that is a fan feeling wish and not likely the cruel reality but still I will go with hope and dreams until I am forced to wake up.

I think worst finish is 7-9…best finish is 9-7…no playoffs, even if we did get a wildcard spot Kolb won’t win a playoff game…3 years until Reid realizes Kolb isn’t the answer…5 years total until we find our new QB

I hate saying that the 1st game of the Season will tell the tale,
But this years opener versus the Packers is a must win I believe against a pretty good team and could help set the tone for the early part of the season which is a must for the young Eagles of 2010..

6-10 at worst and 9-7 at best. Fortunately for us the NFL is so unpredictable where teams that are suppose to be good aren’t and teams that are written off turn out to be better. I think our division would be much more tough this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if we went 2-4 or 3-3 at best. We barely beat the Redskins when we do beat them and the I wouldn’t bet my house on sweeping the Giants again. I think we probably split the division. We will see though. I’m hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. Now if we go like 4-12 or 3-13 or some crap like that, then I’ll be pissed. 8-8 wouldn’t piss me off because I understand the state of the team.

Paulman, I agree. Green Bay will be trying to prove something this year as well so you know they want to start off strong and if we can beat them, that’s a good sign. But then again we beat them and then lose to Detroit that won’t make us feel any good LOL. One thing the team always did was disappoint us. Just as soon as we start to feel good about them they do something stupid e.g. Raiders 2009 and Washington 2008. Hopefully we won’t have any of those hiccups this year.

Worst = 0-16
Best = 16-0

Trying to predict which games the Eagles will win and which ones they will lose is like trying to predict the first 15 picks of the draft. It’s also pointless…

However, I do think the Eagles will be better than 2-3 in the month of December….willing to bet that.

Let’s break it down…Defense is suspect without a legitimate pass rush outside of Cole, Offense is very Suspect without a center to stop a rush up the middle (kolb will get murdered), Special Teams is garbage (Sav Rocca is a bum in clutch moments & Akers miss kicks that use to be automatic) . If Desean Jackson can not only Receive & Return, but Throw, Kick, & Tackle we’ll go 9-7.

Eagles struggled to win 10 games and barely made it to 8 the year before, so let’s be realistic. No Mcnabb, No Sheldon Brown, No Westbrook, No Brian Dawkins …if we would have went into the season without these guys 3 years ago the fans would have expected maybe a 3 win season. What have this organization done to prove they can win without these players? I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt…..The Eagles will win twice that many….6-10

Anyone with me on this.. or do I stand alone and get ridiculed once again…

I’m with Navy and Regal. “Superbowl all the way baby”! If Brady could step in and lead NE, then we might just have the next SB quarterback of this Decade. Just believe in the Young Gunz. Give em a chance and stop doubting. Be a true fan through thick and thin regardless of the naysayers. All hands on deck; I’m all in.
Peace

They can certainly beat San Fran, Atlanta and the Redskins both times. This team just might surprise people.

I disagree with a few things. Houston will white wash us. Who will stop Andre Johnson? noone. We lose to the Vikings because they will be competing against Green Bay. I have them losing 10 or 11 games. They’ve done nothing this offseason to improve. Just got worse.

this is def. the hardest year to predict in recent seasons… there’s a lot of ways this can go.. let’s not forget that kolb has a LOT of talent around him on offense.. and really, he’s more suited to run it than mcnabb (skill-set wise).. i think that could yield exciting results.. we’ll see AR’s offense the way he always envisioned rather than trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.. so yea, if INTs are kept to a min. i think the O will be pretty sick… and on defense, that’s COMPLETELY up in the air before the draft.. if i had to make a prediction, i’d go 10-6/11-5… i honestly think we’ll surprise some and i also think the skins will get beat twice.. loved mcnabb, but come on, we had to know something about his abilities in order to trade him within the division.. generally, “idiots” don’t win the most games in franchise history.. just saying

3-13 or 5-11, or 7-9

With Desean Jackson having to run more shallow routes, since Kolb isn’t a deep threat QB, I’m assuming he’s going to get injured. I see 7-9 IF Vick or Garcia (if brought on) start some games.

As always, injuries will play a major role in determining W-L records. Last year, Dallas had none and we had plenty. This year, who knows?

I have to see how Kolb and the defense look in pre-season before I would even bother trying to predict W’s and L’s. Honestly, I really don’t know what we have here. Early last season the defense didn’t look as bad as it did down the stretch, so it’s hard to say if it was injuries or dischord in the locker room or something else entirely. And I actually think Kolb can run this offense and play a little bit. If those two things pan out, then the team could go 10-6 … this isn’t really a bad schedule all things considered.

But with so many new players adjusting to a system and so many holes (currently) on defense they could also easily go 6-10.

There’s not a more dedicated fan than me fellas, but I have to be realistic. i’ve become pestimistic because I feel this organization have cheated me by not pushing all the chips in the middle when we were contenders and now they’re insulting our intelligence by claiming the eagles are not in a rebuilding process. I’m disgusted at our fans shouting “We’re going to a Superbowl” this year. This talk let’s the organization know they can shovel a pile of $h*t in the center of the Linc and the rabbit Eagles fan will claim it smells like roses. Now, I understand ….The organization reflects it’s fans, so they will not change until we change. I’m giving up after 30 dedicated years of support…They will not get a cent from me until I see an assertive effort to appreciate players that bleed green. Reggie White, Cunningham, Joyner, Cris Carter, Dawkins, Mcnabb, Westbrook, Sheldon Brown, Terrell Owens Should have retired with honor. There’s no honor…therefore there will be no Superbowls. You reap what you sow!!!
