I don’t think the Eagles should go back to the kelly green uniforms which they wore for a few decades until the Jeffrey Lurie-owned Eagles made the team’s main color midnight green.
All of this talk about going back to the kelly green color is occurring because the Eagles will be breaking out the old kelly green uniforms when the open the season in the fall against the Green Bay Packers.
Yesterday DeSean Jackson, Brent Celek and Stewart Bradley took pictures at the scene of the Eagles last NFL Championship.
They’ll be celebrating the 50th anniversary of that championship which the Birds won in 1960 over the Vince Lombardi-led Packers.
I like the midnight green color because¬† it looks better with other colors.¬† It’s much more acceptable than the puke kelly green.¬† That puke green color doesn’t look good with anything else.
I know a lot of Eagles fans grew up watching the Birds play in the kelly green but we don’t need to go back to it.¬† We can play a couple games in the uniforms each year but we shouldn’t change back.
What do you think?  Should we go back to the kelly green color or stay with midnight green?
I like both but I wouldn’t want to go back to the kelly green as the main jersey. I would however, like to see them wear them more often. Maybe once or twice a year at the most.

I like the Kelly Green. We’re only wearing it for one game and then its back to midnight green….I think it would be nice to wear these unis for more then one game a year…..we could always break out the yellow ones!:)
The Kelly green is fine for nostalgia for a couple games a year but they should stick with the midnight green as the main uniform.
Mix some yellow with kelly green and then you’ll have puke green. KG isn’t even close.

Kelly green. You obviously have had a bad college experience involving “re-generated” food. Too bad for you. I’m holding back here with your opinion about it not matching any other color. Are you kidding me, G? It doesn’t match any other color?! What are you Susan Wang or whomever?! You need to back off on this because it’s about lifetime Eagles’ fans. Frankly, I would prefer the white helmets with the green wings, but that’s not going to happen. I like the uniform you wore, G. There will never be another like that.

I smoked some Kelly Green this morning…I Loved it! Better than those Yellow and Blue Jerseys. I prefer the Black Jerseys myself.
I never liked the Kelly Green.
I love vegetables. . . absolutely love ’em, but I don’t particularly care for asparagus. So, I don’t eat it. That’s what’s great about America. I have options.
I learned a long time ago that people who tear others down do so only because they feel bad about themselves. They think that by trying to make someone else look bad, they actually look better. Guess what, just because you blow out someone else’s candle, yours doesn’t burn any brighter.
Another great thing about America: It’s a free-enterprise society. If you feel this product is inferior, you are free to market your own. Each of us has the opportunity to start his or her own website. In fact, you can do it at no cost. I have a couple of them and they didn’t cost a dime.

I always liked the black jerseys and I love this idea of Kelly Green for a game, but I wouldn’t revert back to it as our primary color.

haha despite my screen name on this website, i wholeheartedly support the switch back to kelly green! not the throwbacks they have on right now for the 50th anniversary, but an updated version of the uni’s before the midnight green would be pretty sick

I like both. I really love the kelly green with the silver pants because thats what I remember from when I was a kid. Midnight green is a bit more refined and it does sort of Pop more. I also like the new logo and style a little bit better.
I propose that for one year we suspend the black alternate jersey (which I dig a-lot but black is just not really an eagles color) and have the alternate jersey be the modern jersey but in Kelly green and the helmet should have the modern wing with a bit more silver on a Kelly green base to match. I also think the numbers should be white with a silver and black border.
So Silencer you would have us go to a brownish color with yellow and white and fading to black at the tips to better emulate the Animal known as the Eagle????

I agree with the one poster that said new uniforms for what loks and feels like an expansion team seems to makes sense. Personally, I think they should stick with midnight green. Kelly green just seems like a “Blue Light Special” type color.
The worse part about these uniforms is that they look like counterfeit Jets uniforms or something. Personally I’ve always though they should go to natural colors that a real Eagle is. Mostly Copper, Gold and white.
Has anyone ever seen a green Eagle in the wild?
