I could tell by his facial expressions that Sheldon Brown was in a very good mood after he was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Cleveland Browns.¬† As Terrell Owens former public relations lady would say, “He has $5 million reasons to be in a good mood.”
According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns gave him a $5 million dollar bonus after the trade.  In fact they say that the trade was contingent on Cleveland giving him the money.
It makes sense because former Eagles general manager Tom Heckert is now the GM for the Browns.  He drafted Brown and believes in him.
Quite honestly in you look at the Eagles cornerback situation, they could have used him, but there were two numbers which helped get him out of here.
The first is his age.¬† Brown is 31 and second is the five million dollars.¬† You and I both know that there’s no way the Eagles are signing a corner who is 31 years old.
It took awhile but give Brown credit.  He got his money.
After Dawk left Brown was my favorite player because he was so tough and never whined like Lito did when we knew he wanted a new contract………… until he whined like Lito did. The only disappointing part of the whole situation is that we tool Daniel Teo’Neshiem instead of the best corner on the board. Trevard Lindley??? I hope that pass rush is ALL-WORLD!!!!!
Sheldon Brown is now my favorite Cleveland Brown. He exemplifies everything that I am trying to teach to my own sons. He was not traded from the Eagles, he was pried loose from them. I think I know heart when I see it, and Sheldon Brown had it in freakin’ spades. I could conquer the world with men like Sheldon Brown.
he is worth every penny, and we should have spent it on him… this is the one big mistake from all of our moves this off season
