Iverson Is Planning On Returning To NBA Next Season

I thought we had seen the last of former Philadelphia 76er scoring phenom Allen Iverson but according to an article by the Associated Press, Iverson is planning on a come back.

Allen Iverson’s personal manager Gary Moore says the former number one draft pick is working out and planning on returning to play in the next NBA season.

“Allen is working out and he’s getting himself prepared to make his return,” Moore said in a phone conversation today. “He absolutely will try and play next year.”

“Allen wants to come and help a team win a championship, which he’s completely capable of doing,” Moore said.

His young daughter, Messiah, is doing better and Iverson will try to show that he’s still capable of scoring of getting his shot off and knocking it down.

Personally, I find it hard to believe.¬† I know he needs to play but I don’t think he can play any longer.¬† It’ll be interesting to see which team, if any, will give him a shot.

Iverson has burned a lot of bridges during his time in the league,¬† so I don’t know that he still has teams and coaches who are willing to give him a chance.

I do think he showed all of us a year ago that he has the ability to be a team player during his time with the Sixers.

I think it’s lot a bit ridiculous that people think Iverson is washed up. Plenty of players have played and played well into their late 30’s…which would give him another 3 or 4 years. I personally hope the Sixers re-sign him as last season just seemed like a tease…(very few games played with AI in the lineup and an f’d up system that worked against pretty much every player in a Sixer uniform.)

Considering the bottom line, which naysayers should, AI put butts in the arena seats PERIOD.

ai was better than every guard on the team during his time here last season he ran the o like eddie jordan could have only dreamed of jrue holiday doing. he certainly showed he can play team ball while avging 14 and 6 . there arent to many pg’s in the league avging these numbers and it certainly wont be jrue holiday. i expect certain eagle fans mainly the kolb lovers d5 haters to notl ike ai tho lmao its ok we understand

AI has 12-14 years of experience in the NBA and Holliday is what 20 years old in his first season… C’Mon Man…
Holliday and Kolb are the Future in Philadelphia, get your head out of the sand and look forward and not backward…

I seriously doubt that Collins or Sixers management want Iverson back. They are building for the future,
not reliving the past. I agree with PM even though he admitted to being cheap.
