Terrell Owens and Chad Ocho Cinco Will Mean A Fun Year In The NFL

Can you imagine what it’s going to be like in the Cincinnati Bengals training camp?¬† Chad Ocho Cinco and Terrell Owens will be competing for the spotlight and driving their teammates crazy with their antics.

Both Ocho Cinco and Owens have their own reality shows, now they will make the Bengals a reality show.¬† I’ll bet you HBO wishes they had chosen the Bengals for their training camp reality show again this year.¬† It’s going to be great for the media in the “Queen City”.

Owens is reported to have signed a one-year contract for two-million dollars with two-million dollars worth of incentives.

Can you imagine what quarterback Carson Palmer is going to hear when he fails to get the ball to Ocho Cinco or Owens?  Will he be able to keep both of them happy?

From a football standpoint, Ocho Cinco and Owens will create a lot of problems for secondaries around the league.¬† They’re both impossible to stop in one-on-one situations, which will leave teams in a no-win dilemma.¬† They’ll be forced to alternate their coverages by mixing up their coverages so that Palmer doesn’t know which one is being single covered.

Here you have the two craziest wide receiver divas in the history of the NFL on the same team.¬† I think it’s going to be fun and you know the media covering the NFL is going to be all over them.

I don’t think Owens will be as divisive as he was here because he knows the end is near.¬† He’ll probably want to prove to other teams that he can be a team player.

The St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders expressed interests in signing Owens.  According to numerous reports the Rams made Owens some offers.

The Bengals were a good team last year. Ironically, it was the defense that was their strength. But with Owens and Ochocinco, Palmer has got to salivating over this. He wanted Owens and he got him. Everyone knows Owens works hard in practice so it’s the other stuff. But I honestly think Owens knows he’s at the point of his career where he know he can’t complain about not getting the ball or getting more money. This could potentially be his last year unless he has a very good one. The Bengals are now must see TV.

Also the Bengals won with their running game led by a re-born Cedric Benson and their massive Offensive Line…They’ve also added a pass-catching TE with their 1st Rd Pick in Jeremy Gresham so this team will have a lot more firepower offensively along with WR’s Anotnio Bryant and Matt Jones.
They probably have the 2nd best CB tandem in Leon Hall and Jon Joseph in the NFL,behind the Jets, and a very young, active LB corp, (even Eagle castoff Dhani Jones played well last season)
This team has as much talent as any other in the AFC, if Palmer can play at a high level and spread the ball around to keep everyone happy, they could be a real contender down the stretch..
I think the Colts,Steelers,Patriots and even the Chargers have all taken a step back a little this year with teams like the Ravens,Jets,Dolphins,Bengals and even the Raiders all improving to make more teams in the hunt for the AFC then in recent years
