Eagles And Their Fans Have A Good Time At Second Flight Night

It was an exciting evening last night at the Lincoln Financial Field as the Birds entertained their fans with their second edition of Flight Night.  It was really a fundraiser for Eagles Youth Fellowship but it served as a dress rehearsal for next week’s start of the preseason.

There was excitement and anticipation in the air.  Over 30,000 Eagles fans attended the event and they got their money’s worth plus if was for a great cause.

New starting quarterback Kevin Kolb ran out of the tunnel pumping his fist to thundering applause as the dawning of a new era begins.  Star wide receiver DeSean Jackson trotted out of the tunnel to cheers even though he wasn’t in uniform.

Jackson didnt get the chance to make any plays last night but he still injected excitement into the event when he got behind the microphone.

“We’re going all the way this year,” Jackson yelled. “We’re going to the Super Bowl, baby, and I’m scoring at least 15 touchdowns this season.”

Kolb expressed their appreciation to the fans who took the time to show up last night.

“You never know what’s going to happen,” Kolb said, “but, again, we are all in this together and we really appreciate the support we get from our fans.  It all begins with the fans. That’s how we start things off.”

The quarterback was disappointed that he and the Eagles offense weren’t able to put together more big plays for the fans, but he knows that the production is really needed when the regular season starts.

“I had a blast. We would have liked to have put on a better show, but the real show will start when we play Green Bay.”

The biggest play of the night was a Mike Kafka to Jared Perry 50-yard touchdown pass.

First round pick Brandon Graham enjoyed his first moments on the Lincoln Financial Field turf.

“This is my next big house right here,” Graham said. He later added, “I can’t wait until next Friday,” which is when the Birds start their preseason at home against Jacksonville.

“The first time I ever came out of the tunnel at the University of Michigan, I almost peed myself because I was so young,” Graham said smiling. “Tonight, I was just speechless. This was a dream come true for me.”

It was a good time for everybody who came last night, but the real work is ahead, I hope the good times continues when the regular season starts.

It seems the bar have been lowered and when you know your team don’t have a chance in hell of winning a championship it lowers expectations.

I guess we can at least get excited about the football season and if the birds don’t make it we have an alternative if the Redskins get in.

We can cheer Mcnabb like we did for Cunningham when his team we’re exciting and playing in the postseason.

A reminder- we were home with the new golden boy….Bobby Hoying

SOngs- your just a complete idiot who uses revisionist history to support your own biased agenda.!!!!!!!!!!
People like you are truly sad. You’ll always want to blame things on others.

FYI- RANDALL CUNNINGHAM WAS REPLACED BY RODNEY PEETE BY RAY RHODES! BOBBY HOYING was not the replacement.

If you think MCNAbb had a chance to win a championship here with this team, you are nuts! They wanted new younger players with new attitudes and a new atmosphere.

Anyone reading about this Songs character should read GArrys post “Reid: Impressed With Graham, Says April Is the Best, Points Out Competition At WR” to see the nonsense this guy says and to hear about his precious rANDALLS ONE true good season after leaveing town….Then youll get to see what type of character this Songs guy really is… why is he not banned?

I have no clue about this season but remain hopeful. I am surprised that no one has written the fairytale story for this year yet so I will pen it now.

This team can become the greatest legend in Philly Sports History.

Imagine if you will, that years from now you tell your children the story about how back in 2010 the Eagles had suffered 50 years without a championship and were derided by their rivals for years…Untill..After a record breaking season the Eagles played in the Superbowl IN DALLAS and Kevin Kolb hoisted the coveted Lombardi ON THE STAR under the worlds biggest tv and declared that he was going to Disney World.

If that were this years story no one on this team would even need to get paid because they would never pay for anything in Philly again.

Yes I am being silly. Just to Piss off Songs. I will see your hatred and raise you Hope and Change and pray it fairs better in football than in politics.

Good one RegalEagle,
Though you may want to use some different adjectives than “Hope & Change” for they sound a little too familiar with our current POTUS mantra, and I think we know how this is working out so far….

saywhat…your new younger blood is not looking too good in camp….I think Mcnabb’s not too ready to give the young guns credit had them play harder to prove they belonged. We were made to believe with Kolb at the helm these young receivers would be lighting it up in camp. THEY’RE NOT

Look at the daily inquirers report which tells us this Kolb guy is an interception waiting to happen and he’s blaming it on the defense knowing the plays.. (Did a Dallas player say the same after the mugging last season?) anyway..if he knows the defense knows the plays then that’s an advantage to calculate and exploit…manning would…Brady would….

Mcnabb would

This season will be telling and when this team barely wins 5 games, I do not want to here Kolb was young or give hime time.

Results -PLAYOFFS OR BETTER

If not ship his A** out of here.
