Do you sit and watch the NFL games on television and say to yourself or friends, I can do that? Do you or a friend of yours have a dream of being a professional football player?
Now is your time. The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks are having an open tryout this Sunday from 8am to 1pm at Stabler Arena at Lehigh University.
The Steelhawks are a member of the Indoor Football League, which is a 22-team league, that’s based in Richmond, Virginia. The Steelhawks will be playing a 14-game schedule that runs from February through June.
The IFL’s playoffs culminate in July with the IFL’s United Bowl.
You’ll be trying out at the same facility where the Eagles practice during the summer.
You will be working out on artificial turf, so make sure to wear the appropriate shoes. Players will be evaluated in a combine style manner, which includes a 40 yard dash, short shuttle, three cone drill, one on one and seven on seven drills. Media members will be permitted to film and interview any potential player, front office and coaching staff, or current Steelhawks players in attendance.
For further information please call Lehigh Valley Steelhawks Executive Vice President Mike Clark at (610) 282-3100, or the IFL League Office at (804) 643-PASS (7277)
