The Eagles have taken a blow before the game against the Chicago Bears has even started. The team has confirmed that Asante Samuel will not make the trip to Chicago to face the 7-3 Bears.
Samuel has an MCL sprain and hasn’t practiced all week.
Joselio Hanson will play in Samuel’s spot and that scares me. I like Hanson as the nickel corner, but am not a big fan when he has to play on the outside. Luckily, the Bears don’t have studs at the WR position so hopefully it won’t be too bad.
Trevard Lindley is supposed to take over Hanson’s nickel duties, but you could see Hanson slide back inside for three WR sets.
“Joselio Hanson will play in Samuel’s spot and that scares me”
It does more than scare me. They’re using defibulator on me at this very moment.
We’ll be okay. I still like our chances in this game. I’d like to see our linebackers raise their game and outplay the Bears LB. Really the whole front seven. And if our defense does that we’ll be just fine. Samuel is a playmaker and to replace him really everyone else on the team needs to raise their game. But this team can do it no doubt.
Good thing Cutler sucks balls and this team has no chance in hell to outscore us.
I went to the Bears site. Lovie sure seems confident that Vick is nothing special.
I got a bad feel about this afternoons game fellas,
Hopefully they get out of there with Vcitory and no injuries. The field conditions will be choppy and slow
per reporters and I hope the Defense holds their own without Samuel and PArker.. Need big games from
Hanson/Lindley/Graham and Tapp to pick-up the slack..
Eagles win a low-scoring slug fest 20-17.. (turnovers, penalties, sacks will be huge as usual)
There’s no way that Andre Johnson will play on Thursday night against the Eagles after that fight at the end of the Titans game. The Texans aren’t the same team without him. With things like that working for them, this might be their year.
That’s not exactly how we wanted this to start
Vick flat out missed Celek on that one. Celek did a great job of getting rid of Lance Briggs on that one. Nice job by Trevard Lindley on the kick off return.
Joselio Hanson got cooked on that one. They ran that blitz off the right side at the wrong time when the Bears ran the wide receiver screeen
