Devin Hester is a good receiver, but he is an out of this world kick returner. I think the Bears will try to give him chances on both the offensive side and in the return game to give him a chance to make some big plays.
Hester is lightning fast and he can take any punt the distance every time he touches the ball.
He will also get the chance to run routes against back-up cornerback Joselio Hanson in one-on-one situations. There’s no way in the world Hanson can cover Hester on deep routes.
Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermott will have to keep one of the safeties over the top. He’ll likely take some chances at times during the game by blitzing Jay Cutler and leaving Hanson in man-to-man matchups.
I don’t think the Birds defense will have much trouble stopping the other Bears weapons but that Hester-Hanson matchup isn’t a good one for the Eagles. Chicago’s running attack.
