Vick Still Leading In Pro Bowl Votes, But Brady Is Closing

Michael Vick still leads the voting for the Pro Bowl, but he’s now got a guy in back of him, who is closing fast.  Tom Brady of the New England Patriots already has three Super Bowl rings and seems intent on adding another one.

Brady is leading a squad with a 11-2 record and has to be the current favorite to be the league MVP at the end of the season.Vick, who has been selected to three Super Bowls, is probably next in line when it comes to ranking MVP favorites.

The Birds quarterback is very close to tallying a million votes now at 981,687, while  Brady is right behind him with 947,194.  Regardless of which one finishes with lead, both are likely to be the starters for the game at the quarterback positions for their respective conferences.

Here are the rest of the top ten;  Indy quarterback Peyton Manning, Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers, Houston running back Arian Foster, Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan and Jacksonville quarterback David Garrard.

Leading a Falcon team to a 11-2 Record and a possible #1 Seed whem most Football prognosticators had teh falcons as a 5th/6th7th Ranked team at best. They haven’t lost a home game where he’s 19-1 over his last 20 home games that he’s started and both the Falcons loses were on the road to the Steelers in Overtime and a spanking by the Eagles, but still 2 qaulity teams …
He’s been pretty consistent all year and he’s taken every snap of every game which has to mean something… believe me Vick has been great but has only started 9 games, at the end of the day,
the top teams QB and Leader get my vote and there is still time for VIck and Eagles to overtake the Falcons if they win out.. but as of today after 13 games, I stand by my selections…

Like I said, Matt Ryan isn’t even the MVP on his own team. He can’t be the MVP in the league.

Plus he’s a White Irish kid from the PhiIadelphia area (Exton,Pa)
He’s completed 63% of passes for 3150 yards and has thrown 22 TD’s with 8 Int’s… and has an overall QB Rating of almost 91% and has played in all 13 games so far… It’s hard not consider him along with Brady & Vick don’t you think…His 2 bad games were on the Road vs the Steelers (not many play well
there) and against the Eagles where he was just forcing to much to make things happen after getting behind big early in the game..(probably tryign too much in front of many home-town friends & family)

You state a good case for the kid. He IS legit. His numbers are good but not “outstanding” enough to win the NFL MVP award. 3100 yards, 22 tds, 8 ints (don’t forget 3 fumbles lost) so 11 TO’s — a 2 to 1 ratio….pretty good. But when it comes down to the MVP race, just pedestrian. Don’t get me wrong, I think the kid is legit and a top ten QB in the NFL — but Michael Turner is the reason the Falcons are 11-2….when he gets going, they are tough to stop. Key to stopping Atlanta is stopping Turner.

Brady doesn’t have the receivers or running back that Vick does so it makes his numbers even more impressive

Another thing to keep in mind Birdo about QB Ryan,
He is not asked to throw the ball 40 times a game like Brady and Vick are.
Falcons run a ball control, drive sustaining type of Offense to wear teams down,
so his #’s are even more impressive. I still go back to the leader of the Team that wins and right now
you have look at the Top 6 teams and their QB’s, they all have played well or their teams wouldn’t be where they are …
If Vick and Eagles go 3-0 down the stretch and Vick put’s up some strong #’s, then he has a shot
but only if Eagles finish on up top in the NFC East and at least get to a #2 Seed, but if they finish 2nd to tthe GIants in the NFC East and a 11-5/10-6 Overall record, theres no way he gets it no matter what #’s Vick puts up… MVP is for the Best Player on the Best Team and the Eagles are not better than the Patriots,Falcons,Steelers,Saints,Ravens at this point of the Season per most observors.. They have a chance to move up,but have to win out to do so..

Relax PW, can’t you tell I am jesting..al for MVP, Of ..
By the way, not that it’s any of your business, Did I ever mentioned that I used to date Hallie Berry
and we were to be married some years back.. (this was before she hit it big time)

Also, the Falcons at 11-2, are the better team from Week #1 thru Week #14 than the Eagles
who are 9-4.. Eagles can catch them if they win out, but they need to worry about the Giants 1st
or they will be looking at 2nd place in the NFC East let alone the best Overall team in the NFC

eagles lose when kolb plays other wise we’d be 11-2 at least as well
if brady misses next 2 games and pats lose when brady comes back u wont have like jets better than them u will just say they had injuries now they r back
well we had injuries and only 1 team beat our starter

Vick is much more valuable than Ryan….I am a fan of Matty Ice, but Vick has been much more valuable to his team and should be ahead of him in any MVP conversation.

PW, I am with u, leave the White Irish jokes at home

pman could be right about mvp in terms of ryan and vick being a close race

vick have mvp season and we dont win it all it will be forgotten
something we rarely will talk about 10 yrs from now
but if he doesnt win mvp but wins sb mvp
he will then get a movie for real
but even if he dont win sb mvp as long as shady or djax or mac or celek or zante trent cole
1 of these guys wins it im equally as happy lol

Paulman …you’re an idiot.

you’re the only one on the planet have Ryan ahead of Vick.

Look at the numbers….Hell Kolb looked better than Ryan against the Eagles.

MVP is an individual award..Vick is Most Valuable to the Eagles than Ryan to the Falcons…look at the numbers…Falcons are a running team with a good pass rush once they get a lead.

If Falcons continue to win and clinch the #1 Seed in the NFC,
Matt Ryan will get a lot of consideration, most NFL Observors had the Falcons probably battling for
a wild-card spot at best and here they are, at 11-2 and ready to clinch the #1 Seed..
Maybe the National Media,Talk-Radio,Bloggers,don’t pay much attention for the Falcons since they
are not a “Sexy Team” with a lot of Personality on it, all they do is appear to win Football games…
Also Drew Brees has risen up the MVP Talk here recently as the Saints are starting to peak at the right time so I wouldn’t count him out either…
