76ers backup shooting guard Lou Williams let the information out by accident and couldn’t get it back even though he went out of his way trying. A number of the Philadelphia 76ers went to the Lil Wayne concert on Saturday night and played terribly during their Sunday morning game against an awful Sacramento Kings team.
“It was a combination of things, and it doesn’t seem we came out ready to play,” he said. “We took a chance last night by going to the Lil Wayne concert.”
“There were guys who went to the concert who played well, and guys who went who didn’t play well,” he said.
“For me it was a bad day at the office. Now we have to get ready for the next game.”
Williams went 1-12 coming off the bench against the Kings.
I think the Sixers may have been distracted by the concert because there’s no telling what time they got home. They may have gone out to the “after party” after the game with Lil Wayne and his hangers on.
Sixers coach Doug Collins didn’t think his players going to the concert was part of the reason they didn’t play well against Sacramento, but he admitted it didn’t look good.
“It’s the perception more then anything else,” Collins said of his four players’ decision to take in the concert. “Just use good judgment – that’s all. I think the fact that it was a Noon start really magnified it, and when you have a guy that doesn’t play well it magnifies it more.”
“We talk about the continuing growth of our team. It is not only how you play but everything you do to give yourself the best chance to win. I told the guys to address it amongst themselves. Get together and discuss what you think is important coming down the stretch, how we need to do things and I am here for you. I am going to be that guy that always looks for a way to give us that edge.”
LMAO….silly….just silly.
LMAO @ GARY POSTING THE MONEY TO BURN VID!
I was LMAO at that too, lmao
Birdo I was wondering if anyone noticed that too
I now know I’m officially old at 47. First, what’s most important, a playoff run or listening to live music? Secondly, lil Wayne?, LIL WAYNE?!!!!!! Geez, he is to music what paint by numbers is to art. If that crap is worth being tired for a playoff run game, then we’re all going to hell. This is from a original rap fan from the 1980’s! My goodness, what passes for talent/entertainment now is frightening.
Rasta, sure, its horrible crap. Worthless musicly/artwise. But that’s not why they were there, not at all. Lil wayne and lou will have been friends since they were kids, this was a chance to party VIP style, nothing more.
Different generations my friends….. Different generations
Does Lou Williams wear make-up when he’s playing… It appears he has
eye-brow/eye-liner on doesn’t it… What up with that….
hey g 4 kings went to the concert too maybe thats y they won lol
anyway i dont like lil wayne either but this worthless art stuff to far
its just something u dont understand
i dont either and dont like it at all either
but i dont like alot of stuff some of u guys wold think is great or legendary lol i wouldnt call it worthless its just something i dont listen too
thats because ur watching a youtbe clip pman lol
they dont show sixer games in nc stop
Maybe they could combine the Bobcats and the Sixers team…
Add a Steven Jackson, Boris Diaw, DJ Agustine and the Sixers could do some damage.. I still think Michael Jordan is not a good GM and I am not so sure how hard he works at it either..
i like weezyz hat, get em!
Why do you think that about Michael Jordan paulman? Cause he’s black?
Look at his Track Record from the Wizards to the Bobcats and it’s not too impressive… Greatest B-Ball player ever but his Drafting, Roster Management hiring Coaches and the overall running of a Franchise have a lot to be desired
Hey Paulman…..Greatest B-Ball player “YOU HAVE SEEN ” not EVER
