Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be having a fundraising event on this upcoming Friday at the Water Works in Philadelphia. Of course the Water Works is a beautiful restaurant on 640 Water Works Drive right in back of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
If you are big Eagles fans you will have the time of your life by attending this event on Friday evening. It’s not a inexpensive ticket, ($250) but it’s for a great cause. You’re helping to fight a disease that’s killed millions and you’ll get the chance to rub elbows with nearly all of the current Eagles players.
Jackson is currently in Los Angeles but he will be coming back to Philly for this fundraising event this Friday, May 13th for his foundation which Foundation 10 raises money to fight pancreatic cancer. The disease took the life of his beloved Dad, Bill Jackson. DeSean’s Mom, Gayle, who helps to the run the foundation will be at the fundraiser along with many of DeSean’s teammates like: Jeremy Maclin, Brent Celek, and Todd Herremans,
There will be a bevy of auctions items from Eagles players like Michael Vick’s autographed shoes and Asante Samuel’s autographed helmet, LeSean McCoy’s autographed helmet, Nmandi Asomugha’s autographed jersey and etc.
It was fitting that DeSean would create a foundation, which would allow him to use all the emotion which bubbles up him at the memory of his Dad, as a motivation to fight the disease which took him.
I can remember when his Dad passed in 2009 and you can still hear the emotion in his voice when he discusses his role model and man who molded him. The speedy wide receiver has talked at length in the past about how his Dad pushed him and helped develop his skills so that he could play in the NFL.
Nmandi Asomugha Jersey? you think D jax is talking to him to join the eagles? I hope so… Talk is that Dallas wants him too.
