Andy Reid let us know that Michael Vick and the starters will play the first quarter tomorrow night. In the second quarter, it’ll be Vince Young and the second team. In the third quarter it will be Mike Kafka and the third team. Then in the final quarter, Jerrod Johnson and the fourth team will get some work.
Regarding the battle for the starting center job, Jamaal Jackson will start the game at center and rookie Jason Kelce will probably get some reps with the first team.
Jason Avant & Riley Cooper will start at the wide receiver positions with Sinorice Moss and Chad Hall being worked in there at the slot position.
In pass situations with the first team defense, you will see Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie at right corner, Asante Samuel will be at left corner and Nmandi Asomugha will be inside at the nickel spot on the slot receiver. This will be very interesting because you’re going to see a lot of nickel from the defense this season.
Johnnie Lee Higgins will return kickoffs at the start of the game.
To nobody’s surprise Jeremy Maclin, Mike Patterson, and Trevor Laws were ruled out of this game. DeSean Jackson had been ruled out previously.
Reid said Maclin and Patterson are still undergoing tests and there’s been no timeframe established for when they will return to action.
Eagles defensive end Victor Abiamiri underwent surgery to repair his achilles tendon, while safety Marlin Jackson at Jefferson Hospital yesterday. Both had surgery
dang, marlin jackson hurt again?!? great predictions about him starting this year paulman!!!
marlin needs to hang up his shoes and call it quits …
Marlin will probably get into coaching. Heard a lot of good things about him as a person.
Abiamiri can’t catch a break either, he will probably hang it up with his Notre Dame education.
Looking forward to our game tomorrow, all 4 quarters of it!
I was only being facetious Dr Bridge,
With the Signing on J PAge, Marlin “Billie Jean” Jackson was not ging to make the Roster anyways… Him and Abriami will be cleared off once they have been medically clears which may be a while meanwhile they will be placed on IR but for all intents and purposes, their Careers in Philly are done..
Dr. Bridge: that’s the thing about Paulman, when he’s not BSing (~80% of the time), he’s just joking around (the other 20%)…. so he’s always worth ignoring but its often blurry for what reason….
Marlin Jackson just had a sports hernia operattion and by the look of things we’ll cash in our invest ment with his first tackle projected for 2016.
I am very nervous about our WR situation. They need D-Jack signed ASAP. They need either Macklin or D-Jack at all times. If we are down both Wide outs for a game then the offense will struggle. If we have one of the two then we will be fine and if we have both all year it will be lights out. I fear Macklin might miss a couple of games, if he is not feeling well and they cannot figure out whats wrong how are they going to cure it?
Marlin Jackson and V Abriami will both be released once they are medically cleared, which will take a few months, so technically they will be on PUP or IR list for now, but for all intents and purposes, their Careers as Eagles are over..
signed ex-giant steve smith
I think D_Jax will not get a new deal meaning when he’s a Free-Agent after the 2011 Season, that he is a goner and will bolt and play for a West Coast Team
(Radiers/49ers/Cardnials) would be my guess..
I think the Eagles are going to become less of a pass-happy team and run the ball more and become a more balanced offense which is fine by me..
Instead of a 70-30% split of Pass to Run, I see a 55-45% Pass to Run Ratio
Marlin Jackson is still on the Eagles payroll? WTH!
FOR GOD SAKES REID!!! GET RID OF ABIAMIRI & THE TWO JACKSONS ALREADY!!! I’m sick of these f^@king injury proned stiffs, already. Jamaal looks like he is 400lbs. Kelce will win the job, with McGlynn backing him up.
