No Decision Made Yet On Whether Vick Will Play On Sunday

There’s a chance that Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will play on Sunday against the New York Giants and there’s also a chance that he won’t play in that game. He will have to test well enough to play.

The speedy quarterback is going to get an MRI later today and later in the week the Eagles will follow the NFL protocol testing when a player gets a concussion.

Eagles’ trainer Rick Burkholder said that Vick was a bit fuzzy in his memory during the game but afterward the game, his mind was very clear. Andy Reid said he had talked to Vick and found out that he remembered everything from the hit.

The team’s trainer didn’t say that there was no way Vick would play on Sunday, but he also didn’t guarantee that he would play.

Vick will have to be cleared by a number of independent neurologists in order to play the game against the Giants. The NFL has decided to error on the side of caution when it comes to letting guys play who have had concussions.

vick should take the neccessary time.. just cuz hes tougher than most players he doesnt need to come back fast..and and with this offensive line in the pocket is more dangerous than scrambling .. all the injuries to quarterbacks come from inside the pocket.. new rules or not the have minimal effect

I say 70%-30% Chance that Vick sits this one out..
Kafka will be the Starter and VY the back-up and will probably end up seeing some action.. I think it would be wise to let Vick sit an entire week and get his head togther and healthy for the remainder of the Season for the chance of him getting hit around and possibly suffering a worse and 2nd concussion is pretty good versus this Giant Defense and in particular, their pass rush and blitzing schemes which is really putting the risk out there for the $100 Million QB..

Vick, is not going to play! Come on! He has a concussion & strained neck. Are you guys serious. He won’t play for 2-4 weeks. The league is not playing around with head injuries anymore. You can bet on it, that they won’t allow their current media golden boy, out there to get hurt again!

I think Vick will miss 1 Game and will be back the following week vs the 49ers
The Eagles are not going to announce he’s out iuntil they have to, in hopes that the Giants have to waste a little prep time to game plan for him (even though he most likely wont play)
I think him missing 3-4 weeks is a little excessive but you never know what shows up in x-ray’s/mri’s.. main thing for him to to get healthy.
