Jenkins Is Docked $15 Grand For Hit, Could Play DE This Week

I knew Cullen Jenkins was going to be fined the time I saw him sack Falcons quarterback, Matt Ryan. In the process of sacking Ryan Jenkins had head to head contact with him. I knew he would be fined, it was just a matter of how much.

The big fella who could find himself doing some pass rushing from the defensive end position this week if a couple of their defensive ends, Darryl Tapp and Juqua Parker don’t get well by game time.

We found out how much today. Jenkins was found out today that he will missing $15,000 dollars from his next check. The collision which happened on one of Jenkins two sacks did seem to be intentional but they had to fine him nonetheless..

Jenkins expects the Giants to test the Birds run defense before Eli Manning starts slinging the ball around.

Wonder if Jenkins could play MLB on running players
May on 1st Downs have a DL of COle,Dixon,Patterson,Babin
then at LB , have Hunt, Jenkins & Chaney all standing up to fill the Wide-Nine Gaps .. Maybe against the Giants who are are down to only 2 healthy WR (Nicks nad Cruz) since they lost Hixon for the year on a ACL tear and Manningham injured his knee and will be out for a couple of weeks and since the Gaints lost WR SMith to the Eagles and TE Boss to the Raiders, who is Eli going to pass the ball to.. Look for the Giants to attemp 40 Rushes with Jacobs and Bradshaw.. I would load up the Box big time early in the game and especially on 1st down for the Giants will not test the CB’s much.. Put Asmo on Nicks and take him out of the game, then who do the Giants pass the ball to…

Face mask to face mask shouldn’t be a fine because he kept his head up and just landed on him. If the defender drops his head and uses the top to spear the flag should be thrown.
An end or D tackle getting by a offensive lineman has to have his hands up to try to knock down a pass or obstruct the quarterbacks view, but has to be sure that his hands don’t even brush the qb’s helmet. Then if the ball hasn’t been thrown, they have to make sure to get low to avoid hitting the helmet for a sack, except the quarterback often ducks before getting hit so there’s a flag. The defender also has to make sure not to touch below the knees or the flag is coming out.

It’s amazing the defense doesn’t get flagged more often.

How do you get fined on a play you weren’t penalized on??

Easy Crazy Johnny,
Teams and Coaches can send Game Video on plays that they think the Ref’s missed and from this, NFL Officials can determine if a Fine is applicable..
I was actually surprised that no flag was thrown on Jenkin’s hit..
