In the third week of the season, the good teams will start to separate themselves from the pack.
Philadelphia at NY Giants – I see the Eagles winning this game comfortably. I think they will get ahead of the Giants some time in the first half and they will force them to start throwing the football. Once that happens we’ll be headed for a laugher. Eagles 31-10
San Francisco at Cincinnati – The Bengals win a close one at home. Bengals 23-20.
Detroit at Minnesota – The Lions are a good football team and the Vikings are desperate for their first win. Lions 27-24.
Miami at Cleveland – The Dolphins are starting to realize that Reggie Bush isn’t a franchise back. The Browns will edge them in close one. Browns 23-17;
Houston at New Orleans – This is going to be a good one. Both teams can score, but I think Houston will find a way to beat the Saints in a close one. Texans 35-30.
Baltimore at St. Louis – The Ravens are heading to St. Louis in a bad mood after their poor performance last week. Ravens 20-7.
Kansas City at San Diego – The Chiefs have no chance in what will be a blowout. 45-13.
Arizona at Seattle – The Seahawks are pathetic and Arizona will take advantage of it. Cardinals 27-13.
Jacksonville at Carolina – The Jaguars are a bad football team. Cam Newton will have another big game and the first win of his career. Panthers 31-16.
Denver at Tennessee – The Titans have been able to be competitive without getting much from Chris Johnson. I think he’ll get going against Denver. Titans 26-20.
New England at Buffalo – I think this will be a high scoring game and it won’t be decided until the fourth quarter, but the Patriots have too much for the Bills and they win a close one. Patriots 37-34.
NY Jets at Oakland – The Jets running game is missing and I think it’s going to cost them this one. Raiders 23-13.
Green Bay at Chicago – The Bears do a good job against the Packers. I don’t think the Bears can protect Jay Cutler. Packers 24-20.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay – This will be a good one. I think the Eagles did the Buccaneers a favor by beating up Matt Ryan. Buccaneers 20-17.
Washington at Dallas – I’m starting to like what I’m seeing down in Washington on both sides of the ball. I think they’re going to beat an error-prone Cowboys team. Redskins 24-16
Pittsburgh at Indianapolis – The Colts should start thinking about what they’re going to do in next year’s draft. Steelers 27-10.
Some Good Picks G…
Paulman’s Picks for Week #3 (Overall Record – Season to Date 22-10)
#1) Bills 35 – Pats 31 ( The 4 Wide Spread Offense throws Pats for Loop and the Bills hang on a late comeback by the Pats)
#2) Bengals 24 – 49ers 17 ( RB Cedric Benson has a monster game before starting his 3-Game suspension…)
#3) Browns 24 – Dolphins 20 (Brown’s no-huddle short passing game tires out the Fin’s Defense and then RB P Hillis grinds out the Victory)
#4) Titans 26 – Broncos 16 (Hasselback’s efficient production and protection of the ball give the Titans the edge)
#5) Lions 30 – Vikings 17 (Lions jump out to a comfortable lead as the Chris Ponder era begins as he replaces QB McNabb in the 2nd half)
#6) Saints 34 – Texans 31 (In a barn-burner, Brees leads Saints to a late TD to win the Game over a pooped out Texans Defense..)
#7) Panthers 27 – Jaguars 19 (Cam Newton has a pedestrian game as the Panthers running back duo of Williams and Stewart have a big day…)
#8) Raiders 23 – Jets 20 (Special Teams play win the game for Raiders in a knock down slug fest)
#9) Ravens 28 – Rams 16 (Ravens come back to shut down Bradford who takes another beating..)
#10) Chargers 38 – Chiefs 9 (Chargers light up the inept Chiefs who have lost their 3 best players for the Season on IR list..)
#11) Packers 26 – Bears 24 (Packers squeeze out another close game as they continue to get opponents best shot at them)
#12) Arizona 24 – Seahawks 16 (Cardinals do just enough on Offense and Special Teams to steal a game in Seattle who have no QB)
#13) TB Bucs 26 – Falcons 17 (TB Bucs jump out over the Falcons and hang on to win as QB Freeman has a solid game as does RB L Blount)
#14) Seelters 30 – Colts 13 (Colts start thinking about drafting QB A Luck as the next Franchise QB to replace Manning)
NFC EAst Battle
#15) Redskins 29 – Cowboys 17 (Redksins pound the rock at Cowboys Defense and Romo is ineffective and reinjures his shoulder, ribs and his pride)
#16) Eagles 33 – Giants 16 (Eagles start fast and leave the Giants whining and crying all the way back up the NJ Turnpike, Big games by Maclin,Steve Smith and yes, a Clay Harbor sighting and a 2 Int game by Samuel)
Paul, you definitely bring it on this blog and your effort and homework have been obvious thru the years. However, get a life man! How in the world do you find the time? And the get a life remark was tongue-in-cheek..your awesome and keep up the good work..
“God ” came to me one morning, and told me to follow football and in particular the Philadelphia Eagles, Go make Predictions and Trade Alerts, complete as many Mock Drafts as possible, this is your task, your special gift. to share with other Eagle Fans, go now and Serve the Lord… .( I just wished he would have helped me out with Fantasy Football for I am in last place… ha ha )
gcobb & paulman – great stuff
you guys are better at discussing the nfl as opposed to the eagles
i guess thats a backhanded compliment, but i like what you 2 had to say on this post!
kudos for jumping on my convincing victory bandwagon, last week should have been the same but its all good, its early and next time atl will get smacked
as for this week, if the giants cant run on us and fall behind, it should show you how good we are to beat them convincingly (an every yr playoff contender and rival)
that is why i dont fear any team and we are elite, if u fall behind all you have is the tight end and that is it
we wont make so many unforced errors and get unlucky with the way vick got hurt and maclin dropping that ball on 4th down
another team in our same boat is the chargers, and that just so happens to be my superbowl (philly over sd of course, but you knew that before the season started cuz i dont waver!)
we should trade steve smith back to the giants for their 2nd round pick next year… lol…
