The Eagles must force the Giants to play their game by scoring quickly and taking away the New York running game. This means the offense scoring early and the defense doing everything they can to stop the Giants running game from getting started.
Eagles Offensive Objectives –
1. Score early and make the Giants throw the football more than they would like to. Scoring early will take away a New York strategy of putting the ball on the ground and wearing out the smaller Eagles front seven.
2. Protect Michael Vick and give him time to throw the football. If Vick has time he will dissect the Giants secondary which is somewhat mediocre. They don’t have the talent at the cornerback position to cover DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Steve Smith, and Jason Avant.
3. Execute in the red zone. Touchdowns will get the job done, but not field goals. Getting in the end zone will be put this game away early.
Eagles Defensive Objectives:
1. Line up in an eight-man front and take away the Giants running game. The Philadelphia linebackers should be thinking about stopping the run on first, second and third downs.
2. Attack Eli Manning with the Eagles pass rush and force him into turnovers. They should be thinking turnover every time Manning drops to pass. He’s prone to throwing interceptions and he will fumble when hit by a pass rusher.
Eagles Special Teams:
1. Execute when given the chance. Kickoff deep and cover the kickoff with passion.
2. Kick the field goals when given the chance.
3. Punt the ball deep and high. Effectively block for and cover the punts. Don’t make mistakes.
I”ve got the Eagles winning this 31-10. The Giants might score more than 10, but I don’t see the Eagles have much trouble with them. What about you, what do you think the score of this game will be?

I agree G and have the Eagles Winning 31-16 in game that’s over by the late 3rd Period, GIants will score a late TD .. 2 things that do concern me…
#1) The Weather – If it’s raining, windy, with a slopped up field, then this hurts the Eagles big time for it will negate their overall Team Speed that they have over the Giants and decreases the chances for big plays.
#2) Turnovers – As long as Eagles don’t turn the ball over and give up any cheap points/short field to the GIants, they really should woop them..Again if it’s wet and windy, the likleihood of turnovers increases..

I heard Dave Spadaro say he thought the Eagles were going to active Daniel Te’o Nesheim because of the injuries to Darryl Tapp and Juqua Parker, but any time they activate a player from the practice squad they must commit to them for three games.

Center J Jackson and OT K Dunlap would be the only active Back-ups ..
I guess if a Guard were to get injured, OT Hermmans could slide inside and Dunlap come in as a RT… (I would think an extra guard whether it’s Watkins or Vandervelde would be active just in case so as not to weaken 2-3 Positions)
Obvioulsy DE P Hunt will see more snaps and probably Cullen Jenkins will take some snaps at DE today as well…
