Vick And McCoy Lead The Way With Flawless Performances

This was a thorough beat down by the Eagles of the Cowboys. The guys in the midnight green dominated Dallas in each phase of the game and the contest was decided by the middle of second quarter. It’s amazing that they can put together a performance on this level against a talented team like the Cowboys.

Both Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy were the keys to it all. Vick worked over the Dallas defense with short to intermediate throws because as he said the safeties were lining up “500 yards deep”. He took the underneath throws and systematically carved up Rob Ryan and his defense.

A key played occurred on the first drive when Vick called an audible on the first touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin. The Birds were in the red zone and Vick recognized a zero blitz, which meant Dallas was sending everybody including the kitchen sink.

The lefthander called a quick screen to Maclin, and he communicated it to his teammates and they heard him loud and clear. They did executed the screen pass flawlessly. Maclin caught the ball and carried it into the end zone without being touched.

You can say enough about Vick’s management of the football game. He seemed to in control of the situation the entire time. He was cool under fire when the Cowboys put the pressure on him. So many times he slid to his right or to his left to avoid and throw an accurate dart right on target.

Vick completed 21 of 28 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns. His quarterback rating for the game was 129.9. It was a brilliant performance by the signal caller and by Andy Reid and Marty Mornhinweg who put togehter the game plan.

Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan needs to keep his mouth shut until the two teams play again. He was taken to school and embarrassed on national television.

McCoy continues to escalate his game to another level. He may be the best running back in the NFL at the moment. There’s not a back in the league who can make players miss like McCoy. The former Pitt Panthers carried the ball 30 times for 185 yards and two touchdowns.

Remember that the Cowboys came into the game with the best run defense in the league and McCoy made them look pathetic. It was no contest as the Eagles dominated immediately and all night long.

The third year back has continued to take his game higher. He sets up tacklers and makes them miss like a teenager playing against first graders.

For the first time I heard Andy Reid talk about changing the way he and Marty Mornhinweg call the game because of Shady McCoy’s ability to gain yardage in any and all situations.

McCoy is a bona fide, flat out stud! This should be the game plan every week. Pound Shady, play action Vick all day. Great game. F^#@ the Cowgirls & Blowmo.I love it! Let’s not anoint them SB champs, though. Let’s make it to 500 first. Still a long ways to go. If Reid could only have two weeks to prepare for every game, he’d be a HOF coach, & wouldn’t lose. Did he actually win a challenge, let alone two in one game!? No wonder it snowed yesterday! BWAHAHAHA!!! Great game! Now I can stick it to the bandwagon Cowgirl fan that I work with. Front running loser!

Where to start – how about the O Line – I think there were a few people on here saying give the O Line some time to come together – how is Kelce looking – and Watkins – Hermanns and Peters – see that time of possession – the pass protection, leading the league in rushing —

How about that D – what 267 total yards – much of it in junk time – 85 yards rushing – two solid performances against division rivals – a red zone stop – yeah – took them a few games, but looks like they are figuring out – keep getting better –

The coaching – 2 for 2 on challenges! Kept the cowboys off balance all night..
Castillo seems to be doing a better job of calling the D –

Celek and Harbor ( one of our draft ‘busts’) both had good nights catching, running and blocking………….

Anyone else notice that stat where they listed the eagles win percentages by month and Collingsworth went over the eagles records and made the comment as the weather cools the eagles heat up………….

I think I predicted 38 or 41 to 17 – us with 500 yards O holding the cowboys to 300 5 sacks and 3 turnovers….. I was off by a sack and a couple turnovers –

Songs – missed your onside kick – we had plenty of chances to try one!

Navy, I gotta say, they are playing much better on the O-line & they are playing the secondary the way they should. It is covering up the inadequacies of the Lb’s. Coleman & Allen are starting to look alright. Hopefully they can keep it up, & Reid can keep swallowing his pride & stick with this game plan, because, Shady can’t be stopped right now. This opens up Vick to kill in the play action game. Just one game, they still have alot of work to do. If Reid wasn’t so f^#@ing stupid & stubborn, we could be well ahead in this $#!tty division, right now.

BTW, I predicted I believe 34-13 W. Wish I could pick the lottery like these games. I’d be a billionaire!

You see how great Vick looks when you keep him clean. Looks like the best QB in the league. He was throwing darts all game long and im talking about pin point accurate. Hes a very special talent. I also like how he picked his spots with running, there werent many break downs on the oline minus the 4 sacks ware got but every QB gets sacked, its apart of the game regardless of how good your oline is. But Vick is playing at a different level similar to last year and whats REALLY SCARY is that hes reading coverages and exotic blitzes like never before and hes just getting started… And the real unsung hero is this oline because there making this all happen, notice when the line was struggling the entire team struggled… there making shady mccoy possible along with him showing himself to be the best RB in the entire league. Im tired of everyone saying AP is, its so cliche… Shady almost had 200 yards rushing against the best run defense in the league, haha that speaks volumes about this mans ability…

Let’s see if they can keep this up. I’m tired of being miserable on Sunday.

Great gameplan. Did they go deep at all? I don’t remember if they did. Long extended drives, utilized Celek and ran the ball. Too bad it takes 2 weeks to prepare like that.

D looked good to. Took the Genius Dez and Austin outta the game. They even covered Witten.

Let’s get back to .500 next week.

Well kids? Halfway through the season and the O-line is coming together, the D scheme appears to be working better (players are not looking at each other ‘I thought you had him?’).

You have to give props when they do well and eat some crow when you are proven wrong.
