Sixers Prove Again That Wizards Are The Worse Team In NBA

This was the perfect game for the Sixers especially coming off the Heat game.  Well, it kind of helped that the Wizards decided not to show up too. After the first quarter it was easy to see that this game was going to be a blow out. The Sixers shot 65% in the first quarter and the Wizards shot 35%.

The Sixers ended up having a 30 point lead by halftime 62-32. I swear the Wizards did not want to even play this game. The third and fourth quarter was more of same as the Sixers were on cruise control for a 103-83 victory over the Wizards.  Here are some of the things that I saw…..

SIXERS

-Brand. He was not even supposed to play tonight. He was sent home with an upset stomach during the morning shoot around. He must have taken some major Alka-Seltzer when he got home. He came out on fire with 11 points in the first quarter. He set the tone for the rest of the game. He finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds

-Thad. This is why I love this dude. The Sixers are up 22 points in the second quarter and he is out there trying to take a charge. How can you not love this guy? He finished with 14 points 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

-Iggy. Some people might look at the stat sheet and say he only scored 7 points. I will tell you this he let the game come to him. He took what ever the Wizards gave him and that was open teammates. He had 7 assists after the first quarter alone. He had 7 points 7 rebounds and 11 assists. He shot 3-5 from the field.

-Lavoy Allen. He got his first real taste of the NBA with Vuc and Hawes out.  He showed us that he has some skills. How about that “Dream Shake” he did in the third quarter? Nice. It was fitting to see him knock down the jumper to put the Sixers over 100 points to get the crowd all fired up. Free Big Mac’s for everyone! Yes, sir! He had 10 points and 6 rebounds in 17 minutes. He was a perfect 5-5 from the field. BOOM.

WIZARDS

-McGee. Well, I am really not sure if he was even out there. He really earned his pay check tonight. I swear I did not hear his named called once.  He finished with 2 points and 2 rebounds. Thanks for coming.

-Nick Young. I know the kid can score but if he is not scoring he is not doing anything out their. I mean I guess you can kind of say that about the whole Wizards team. The one jumper he took was like 5 feet from half court. This dude never saw a shot he did not like. He finished with 10 points and 3 rebounds. He was 4-10 from the field.

-Wall. There is no doubt that there is a ton of talent in him but the dude needs a lot of coaching. He is lightning quick and to me at least he is to quick for himself right now. He has the talent to be like Derrick Rose. He needs some guidance though. I really do not think he is getting it right now. He had 13 points 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

-Flip Saunders. Some times teams will take on their coach’s personality. Like the Sixers with Collins and obviously the Wizards with Flip. That is why the Wizards gave up so quickly because of him. They are getting blown out and Flip is on the sidelines with no express at all. Dude, you have to be kidding me! How in the world do you not even get a “T” in this game? I swear I would have picked up a chair and thrown it across the court with this performance. Why am I so mad right now about the Wizards? LOL. Relax Joe. Flip is flat-out stealing that $4.5 million that he is making this year.

The Sixers are now 12-5 and sitting in first place with Boston 7-9 trailing them by 4.5 games. The Sixers have won 5 games at home by 20 or more points already. I know it was against the Wizards but they have destroyed them so far this season by an average of 21 points a game. Spencer Hawes missed his fourth game in a row and Vuc also sat out injured. Here is the box scoreand recap.

Give Lavoy Allen another year or 2 and he’ll be a force.. Has all the intangibles he just needs to be pushed a little… We may have a steal on our hands guys…
Im pumped about this year and what im seeing out there… But im waiting for the off season and the sixers hopefully getting Dwight Howard or Kevin Love or both here in philly this off season… if we can make it happen then do it… it would require 2 max contracts probably but these are two that would be worth it…

The potential addition of Howard would give the Sixers one of the more potent starting lineups in the entire NBA:

PG: Jrue Holiday

SG: Jodie Meeks

SF: Andre Iguodala

PF: Thaddeus Young

C: Dwight Howard

Pretty formidable… you may ask where is Brand? Well we would have to amnesty him in order to free up cash, im talking 18.2 million… thats enough to sign him plus there are a few million available already… Now if noone claimed Brand then we could then sign him to a mid level exception, and then the starting lineup would be…

PG: Jrue Holiday

SG: Jodie Meeks

SF: Andre Iguodala

PF: Elton Brand

C: Dwight Howard

I prefer the latter… We would then contend for a title and probably would win it all…

JH, give me some of that Wacky Tobaccy your smoking! If you think we can & will get Howard or Love, let alone both, you need to be committed! Also for you to have Jodie stinking @$$ Meeks sniffing the starting line-up shows you know nothing about B-Ball. Meeks is a mediocre player my man, & that might be the only button that Collins is pushing wrong. Where’s Turner? BTW, how do you think we can afford Howard, with Brand & Igoudala still on the team. Brand or both would have to go. Reality my brother, reality!

Dcar, its very possible minus kevin love because he just signed a 4 year deal with the twolves… but if howard isnt traded by the deadline then he will be available at the end of the year and we will have a shot at him.. esp if we make it to the second round or further in the playoffs, this would be an attractive destination for not 1 but maybe a few free agents… but as few jodie remaining in the starting line up, you need perimeter shooting to spread out the defense and jodie is our very best shooter, better shooter than evan, and the way evan plays he fits in better with lou and thad you know the “night shift” best bench in the league… so i see jodie staying put as long as hes shooting lights out and also his defense has picked up dramatically so doug will keep him in there..

JH, I would love it, but I doubt Howard would want to come here.
this team is mediocre, & not better than Orlando. Not to mention, we ain’t on his list of preferable teams. Jodie Meeks stinks!

Magic’s Howard is not coming to Philly, no way, no how..
A Bad loss by the 76ers at home last evening to the Nets.. These are the type of games you have to win at home against a struggling team..

Mediocre? DCar they are in the top 5 in the league off of defense alone. Good to great teams lose against lesser opponents all the time, its apart of the game it may have to do with fatigue or a lesser team coming in knowing there not going anywhere so they play the game like its a playoff game, kinda what we got from the nets last night, we got there best shot.. Also you guys are forgetting that we have 2 big men out right now, spencer hawes who was having a allstar type year to start is having back issues and Vuc hurt his knee and the sixers did not need that to happen, and yes when they dont have a big man in there guarding the basket like hawes was averaging 2 blocks a game, then theyre definitely mediocre…

As for howard coming to philly, i understand you guys dont wanna get your hopes up but think for a minute how attractive this team will look if the make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs? Esp if they were to maybe even beat the magic in the first round. Howard would see up close how good this team is.. this isnt a small market team, this is philadelphia its a big market and howard would still make his millions in endorsements etc etc just like A.I made his too even though he blew all his cash… But you guys keep mentioning how the sixers arent on his list of teams to play for, big deal, you notice teams keep getting added to that list monthly right? By seasons end i think we ll be high on his list, thats just IMO.. The only player were missing is a dominant player and i believe howard may be mor impactful on the defensive end then he is offensively… scary…

I would love to have d howard, but I doubt he would want to play here; however, I think I saw somewhere that one of the players he wanted to play with was iggy, but don’t take my word for that. And as for j. Meeks, we need him to spread the floor, and he’s our only legit 3pt threat, and its not like he gets 40 min a game, people like e turner and l. Williams still get alot of pt. Also my sister use to be best friends with jodies sister a year ago.

Phantastic, exactly the words i said i totally agree bro… and yes i saw that also that one of the people he wants to play with is Andre Iguodala, though hes not well liked in philly teams and people around the league really like him… Hes actually grown on me and i dont think we should trade him, instead he should be a philly for life, his offensive game has improved, shooting and dribbling.. his defense this year is the best its been in all the years hes been here…we add howard to the fold and i promise you we will be contenders for the title, and these owners look like they are looking forward to making something like that happen.. they actually alluded to how they know that after this season alot of things will be available for them and that they look forward to weight all there options… these owners want to bring the fans back and what better will bringing the most dominant center in the league to this team? Id probably become a season ticket holder if they did.. If they dont get howard there will still be other players available via trade or FA… but in all honesty its the Dwight Howard sweepstakes, if you cant acquire him then the off season is a failure..

***Potential Trades That I Would Do Now***

#1.) Andre Iguodala 27 and a pick for Deron Williams 27 of the nets straight up.. Dwill is not going to sign an extension with the nets unless they get Dwight Howard and the nets dont wanna take the chance of him leaving scott free and not getting anything for him.. Do the deal..

This next one is a tough one and i would hate hate hate to do it bc i love the guy but were gonna have to do it if we get DWill..

#2.) Jrue Holiday 22 for DeMar DeRozan 22 of the raptors… The man that drafted Holiday Ed Stafanski is the raptors gm and he loves Jrue Holiday.. they would have there future PG and we’d have a legitimate SG that also defends…

These are deals that I would try to make if I was the sixers, and if we did would it not attract a Dwight Howard to Philly? It certainly would…

Bad Trades Scenario’s

#1) Nets would not trade one of top premier PG in the NBA in Deron Willaims for Iggy and a Pick.. The Sixers would have to throw in a Thadd Young or a S Hawes for them to even consider

#2) Holiday straight-up for DeRozan would be a horrible trade for the Sixers
DeRozan is another SF who will be bunched in with the 3-4 the Sixers already have in Iggy, Turner,Young, etc, etc… MAkes no sense.. Holiday’s cieling is higher than DeRozan

Paul, ur not thinking the trades thru. Derozan is a SG not SF at all.. hes a scorer flat out.. hes having a down year bc his team is terrible.. we could trade holiday bc we wont need him since we would have deron williams.. and the only team that needs a pg is the knicks and if they offered carmello anthony straight up i see that happening over the iggy deal… but our former gm billy king is reported to have said a few days ago that if we dont want iggy then trade him to us, meaning the nets since hes the gm.. id do that deal in a flash iggy and our 1st round pick for dwilliams then we would have to trade holiday so go out and get a legitimate SG in derozan and we could still afford to get dwight in the off season.. these deals could lure him here..

The New Orleans Hornets have publicy stated that they will Trade Center C Kaman.. He will not suit up and play until a trade is consummated..
Teh Hornets have 3 Big PLayers already that they have decided to play to gain experience… The Hornets needs som Guarf and Forwards and maybe the 76ers could talk to them to see if a deal could be worked out.. The Sixers could use another big man as HAwes fights thru some injuried and Back Vuceric is still learning the ropes as a NBA Players..
Maybe a Lou Williams or a Jodie Meeks and a Draft Pick in return could get Kaman who is making $14 Million this Season

I like Kaman but i dont think the sixers are interested in giving up lou williams or jodie who are primarily there main scorers… kaman has skill around the basket and can rebound but honestly when hawes is healthy he can do all that kaman can.. hawes injury does have me a little worried though… but if we were to make a deal i would try and work a deal to get Okafor who is a defensive force in the paint, and whats good about him is that he can defend both PF and C positions…
