Tom Sestito and his agents, Norton Sports Management, have both announced via twitter that the 6′-5″, 230 lb. forward has agreed in principle to the qualifying offer from the Philadelphia Flyers. The offer is for $605,000 for one year.
“Just have to sign the deal and it’s all done, excited to be back in Philly and get the season started,” wrote Sestito on his twitter account.
Sestito figures to compete for a bottom six role next October, and should have ample competition against the likes of Jody Shelley, Zac Rinaldo, Ben Holmstrom and Eric Wellwood. Sestito played in just 14 games with the Flyers last season, which prematurely ended for him after pulling his groin in a fight.
If he remains in Glens Falls for the 2012-13 season, he figures to be a staple in the line-up as one of the Phantoms’ better forwards. He scored just 9 goals and 17 points in 34 games played last season, but has put up better numbers in the past with the Springfield Falcons (when he was part of Columbus’ system).

It must be something about the Air System in the CoreStates Building ..
The Flyers and 76ers are building their Rosters with Chumps while many of their Competitors are getting Stronger and Stronger . I predict a poor 3-5 Seasons for the Philly Teams that play in this Building.. Good Grief..
And where exactly is the CoreStates building genius?
I predict Paul will talk out of his left ass cheek. Over. And Over. And…..
Good signing, two way deal. Call him up when a little toughness is needed in the lineup.
I am not disappointed in the flyers off season. I think a lot was invested in the youth last year and now they need to take the next step by playing more important roles, especially schenn, voracek, and couturier. Also bryzgalov can put up a More consistent season leading to more wins for the team.
