Eagles quarterback Michael Vick says he’s going to talk to young running back Dion Lewis when he shows up for training camp later today. Yesterday, charges were dropped against Lewis for allegedly pulling a fire alarm in his hometown of Albany, N.Y..
The second-year running back had been arrested a couple of weeks ago, when he and his brother were locked out of their hotel and reportedly decided to pull a fire alarm. After being arrested they with committing a felony by falsely reporting a fire.
“I want to thank both my family and the Philadelphia Eagles for their support and for believing in me,” Lewis said in a statement. “I am grateful that the case is being dismissed and that the truth is coming out. No crime was committed. I look forward to the upcoming season.”
Lewis’ quarterback will be waiting for him to arrive today and have a few words for him.
“I’ll definitely have a talk with Dion”. Vick said, “But I think Dion understands what’s most important. I think he acknowledges that whatever happened, and we don’t know because we wasn’t there, it doesn’t need to happen again”.
There’s no question that Vick is the leader of this team, especially the offense and he’s showing it by having a sit down with Lewis.
