Browns Best Corner Joe Haden Facing 4-Game Suspension

At the moment it is unknown whether the Cleveland Browns’ best defensive player, left cornerback, Joe Haden, will play on Sunday or not.   Browns team President Mike Holmgren was just on a Cleveland radio station and he said the defensive back has been hit with a four-game suspension by the league and had his appeal hearing.

The team and their best coverage corner are awaiting word on what the league has decided to do after his appeal.  There’s a chance he might play in this first game.

I suspect if we haven’t heard by now, we’ll have him for the first game,” said Holmgren told the Cleveland Plains Dealer.

This could have an impact on the game.  Haden is the only cornerback who can any chance of covering the Birds receivers.  We saw rookie Damaris Johnson beat right cornerback and former Eagle, Sheldon Brown deep.  If Johnson can beat the aging Brown deep then what do you think DeSean Jackson could do to him.

I expect to see the Eagles come out and light up the Browns defense whether Haden plays or not, but if he doesn’t play, it should be a total blow out.
