Eagles tight end James Casey had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee earlier this week and will miss the rest of the OTA workouts.
Casey wrote this morning on his Twitter account the following message: “I had a minor scope done on my right knee. I’ll be back to full speed in two weeks. Better to get it taken care of now”. The USA Today was the first entity to report the story.
He’s expected to be a big part of the Eagles attack as a blocker and pass receiver in Chip Kelly’s offense. His versatility has been singled out.
Chip Kelly is expected to use Casey in multiple tight end sets with Brent Celek and second round draft pick Zach Ertz.
Eagles MVP on Offense for 2013 will be TE/FB/WR/RB/QB James Casey
