The second game today is going to be a serious physical battle with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers going at it. I like the 49ers in this one because they have more weapons than the Seahawks. If Percy Harvin had been effective last week and was healthy enough to play in this game I would have leaned toward the Seahawks.
I think Russell Wilson is going to struggle because Seattle doesn’t have enough weapons for him to throw the ball to. They can run the football, but Wilson hasn’t been playing well. He’s been off target with his throws and has become nothing but a manager, not a big playmaker.
The San Francisco defense will be able to keep Marshawn Lynch under control. The Niners front seven is as good as any in the league, plus they’ve been up there and they know what they’re getting ready to face. “Beastmode” is going to carry the football at least 25 times, so San Francisco has to be aware of him on each and every play. If they keep Lynch under control, the Seahawks have no where else to go.
The Niners offense has been expanding in its complexity and getting better each and every week. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been playing very well and he’s got his favorite receiver Michael Crabtree back in the lineup. Tight end Vernon Davis is healthy and playing well. Anquan Boldin is as tough a receiver as any in the game.
Frank Gore is an outstanding inside runner, who does a great job of getting that inside yardage.
I see them going after the Seahawks by throwing the ball on first down to keep them off balance, then pounding them with Gore.
It’s going to be a low scoring game, so the Niners won’t have to score much to get the win. I see the final score being San Francisco 16-13.
We better draft some damn defense. Stop worrying about WR and friggin offense. These two defenses make ours look like a junior high defenses. These defenses are filled with BIG NASTY MEN.
I think that’s the plan. However, I believe they stress taking the best player on the board. If the best player on the board is an offensive player and the defensive player is 3rd on their board…who would you take…the offensive or defensive player?
Heres a revelation. Take the BEST DEFENSIVE player available at 22. lol. Its hard for me to believe the offensive player at 22 is head and shoulders better than the best defensive player available at 22. What if the best player everytime the Eagles pick is a offensive player. Fuck that philosophy. Theres defensive players worthy of every Eagles selection.
Naw….If I have a shot at a play making offensive player with a physical skill set different than those we have over a guy who may be good but is similar to what we have, I’ll pass and take the offensive player.
But realistically they may be no better than what you have already on the team…..You’re assuming their skills, and highlights translates to the NFL….We may end up with another Stephen Hill….No thank you.
Defense mainly in the first 3 Rounds
I can’t judge Stephen Hill yet, look at the QB situation, also it’s his first year. Two of my first 3 picks will definitely be defense, actually, 4 of myfirst five. However, I have enough confidence in my ability to assess talent to the point of where I can find what I need defensively in any of the first 5-6 rounds.
He was a combine phenom Eagle…..He stinks
That’s your assessment. I can’t judge him yet. Honestly I did not watch the Jets this year so I don’t know what he did. I do know he had a very good combine. I’ll take your word on it, but I won’t let that determine what I think. Actually it does’nt matter because I will not be paying much attention to the Jets anyway. I watched the Noles a lot this year because I’m a Jameis Winston fan, I knew nothing of Benjamin. I was forced to pay attention to him because he consistently made plays on the ball all over the field.
That’s called denial Eagle plain, and simple.
Your Right Dag…That is what the Eagles should be thinking about. Some of these 1st Round WR’s won’t even be as good as they think.
If Khalil Mack, or Kony Ely is within reach, or somhow they go for it, and get Both….GMCliff will give Howie Props for having some balls, and getting exactly what we need.
Some in the GCobb Family are too enamored with WR’s in the draft. I agree we need 2, but not in the first round. Our Defense was ranked 31st in Overall Team Defense this year……Fix the Defense – We cannot continue to ignore the weakest part of this team..
The two teams left in the playoffs in the NFC, are there because of mainly their Defense…..How can we compete with them, and get to a SuperBowl, with a mediocre defense that plays over its head. That won’t work every week – Fix the Defense
Hey Cliff that would be a great theory except last draft should have been a defensive draft as well and we know how that turned out. At 22 if Benjamin is there and the 10th best defensive player is on the board who do you take?
It depends who doing the ranking, and what position he plays.
Its obvious you like Benjamin. I like Benjamin, but not better than others that we can use on Defense.
Don’t be shocked, if he isn’t what you think he is…..
Your right Cliff, I think Watkins and Benjamin are head and shoulders the best receivers out there but I’d rather get Benjamin then to settle for the 5th best OLB or the 4th best safety. We saw today where great defenses can get you but you know this better then most when you reach for a guy based on need you lose.
And Cliff I’ve played enough and watched enough football in my 51 years to know who can and cannnot play. Stephen Hill can’t play anybody should have seen that.
Your 51 Biggie??!!!
By the way you reason, I should have guessed that. I was thinking you were in your early to mid 30’s…….Thats alright brother.
All I can say is we will see. Don’t get me wrong, I do like Benjamin, i am just not sure what I saw at Florida State, is a product of his overall talent, or the teams Offensive System. I feel the same way about Mike Evans, Jamis Winston, and Marcus Mariota…….
There are some WR’s that can be had in the 3rd -7th Rounds who may have as good, or better careers in the NFL as Benjamin, or Watkins. I know it’s hard to see, because they shine so bright in the eyes of a lot of people who assume with no thought of them not being as good as advertised…….But we will see.
This is FOOTBALL! Screw that Omaha Omaha bullshit hocus pocus! This is what Im talking about. This is the Superbowl right HERE!
This game between the 49ers and Seahawks stinks
It is reminiscent of my high school days, bad qb play , run when the first sign of trouble appears, no pocket presence, fortitude
These are bad qbs
Says jakedog the high school football player. lol
Damn Russell Wilson 2 time pro bowler 1st QB with QBR over 100 1st 2 years in NFL history he sucks. lol 1 home loss in 2 years. He sucks lol
Kapernick the starting QB for the storied SF 49ers. May be on his way to 2nd straight SB in his 3 years. He sucks to lol. Cause jakedog the high school football player says so,lol
Doug Peterson right now would be playing in this game if he was on Seattle or San Fran.
some guys can’t be helped. ..
was neat to see tsjohnson5s mommy allowed her to post today.
See you still keeping a dick up your ass.
Nice to know some things don’t change.
Terrible Play by Safety Donte Whitner in pass coverage
Scratch him off the Free-Agency list
Can you see why I wanted the Eagles to sign CB Carlos Rogers 3 Off-Seasons ago instead of puss Nnamdi Asamough, who is out of Football, as I called he would be…
paul, you hit that one, right on the head, & you never wavered.
Yep that Tom Brady guy looked great today standing in the pocket.
Way to defend other teams QBs. Who gives a fuck how Brady did?
Yea X join the your only allowed to compliment Foles club.
No but you sure as hell wouldn’t be on here defending Foles. But you will defend other posters and other QBs. Both these guys playing now look kinda crappy. Brady looked shitty too but he has nothing to do with these guys. Only one stud QB today.
You mean like I pointed out we have the best young pocket passer in the league or I’m glad he’s our QB ? Yea I don’t compliment him. I’m just not as narrow minded as half the clowns on this site.
No your not and I always give you credit for that. Brady had a rotten day but is a hofer. If Brady had a day like these guys are playing today it’s bad. This site is getting worse and worse. You aren’t a clown but you protect the morons a lot. No offense to you Big I’m just sick of that.
I actually posted that X to poke Vinnie who thinks there is only one way to win a football game, and yes this site has become somewhat of a zoo. I will defend some posters who for some reason get ganged up on because they have a different opinion than others.
And why this year I want the Eagles to pursue Seahawks DE Michael Bennett,
Even though GMCliff says Bennett is “not all that”…
Can bennett play as a pass rushibg linebacker. He’s not big enough to play DE for a 34. If he can be moved around to create match up problems cool. I still don’t think it matters. I don’t think the Eagles are going heavy in free agency.
It’s his guy Eagle, so he’s goin gto try to convince you he’s done more than he really has.
Paul, you cannot convince me that he is good for this team. I know what works for me, and he isn’t it. If you like him, you like him…….I don’t.
To me it’s a mute issue. I am watching this game and I am still waiting for the impact you claim he would bring to the Eagles. Again I have seen him in on gang tackles, and chase downs, and recover a fumble. Thats it!!
Relax with Michael Bennett – No more mediocrity please…..
That should be a “moot” issue, Mr Professionally Trained one..
I see good players with my eyes..
That’s right Professionally Trained……..which means my standards for talent are higher…….don’t be offended.
paul, just because you constantly push your guys, don’t mean they fit our DF. What part of that don’t you understand? Bennett does not fit the 3-4 defense. Aren’t you sick of square pegs, in round holes? I am! That was our downfall this year. Cole, Graham, Curry, Logan, Cox, Thornton, Matthews, all were either out of position, or playing in the wrong defense. Not to mention the players like Chung, Allen, Fletcher, & Wolff, who aren’t even starters. Again, some of the guys you want in FA, & in the draft, are good players, but don’t fit here, period. Being stubborn, doesn’t make it right. Same goes for gmcliff, with his refusal to draft a WR in the 1st, & drafting a lower graded defensive player. Sign all defensive FA’s, then draft weapons & depth in the draft. That’s the reason why last years off-season was a failure in my eyes. The draft was @$$ backwards, & all of the FA’s were nothing but garbage signings. Barwin, & Jones were the only consistent players signed. Bet you they regret not signing Knighton, Sean Smith, Quin, Keenan Lewis, instead of the slop they signed in Sopoaga, Chung, & both overpaid CB’s.
LOL!!! You know me bruh…..Sometimes I see it differently, and I stick to my guns until proved wrong.
But Excellent Post DCar….
Don’t think Niners are going to win. Think it’s Seattle’s year.
Another terrible play by Safety Whitner..
3 Tines he has let average Seahawk Receivers behind him,
Last time he was fortunate that Wilson had to much air under his throw, this time he was smoked by 3-5 yards..
All DE Micheal Bennett does is make Plays in both versus the run & pass..
only in your world Paul..Just like Michael Floyd, Lane Johnson, and Connor Barwin…….Just Sad…Raise your Standards Bruh……
Stay in your own world GMCliff where you can trade up & down to get 5 Picks in the First 2 Rounds every Draft by trading Furure #1’s
Keep on smoking Cliff… Is tgeyvwhatvthey taught you in
Your GM Classes, wonder if it’s too late for you to get a refund..
What was this a “GM Fantasy Camp”…
C’mon Bro.. Your smarter than that..
And all that being said, I am still better than most on GCobb.com, the NFL, and the NBA……
With a Bachelors, Masters, and PhD in Sports Management, and a real eye for talent…..no refund needed Brother…….
Like I said, don’t be offended, or mad….It’s just the way it is.
You two guys kill me!
We do this all the time…It all in Love Eagle. You, and I do the same thing all year round…….Pauls, my man..
I know, it’s all good bruh!
Same here Cliff.. It’s how we Roll… Ha Ha
You know I think highly of your Football Acumen which is why I bust your stones from tine to time .. It’s all good Cliff and your a Good Man of top of your football knowledge.,
You both suck! ; )
We love you too DCar….Go get a joygasm, and come back to the party…LOL!!!!
gmc, LMMFBO!!!!
DCar 🙂
Looks like Seattle wants it more: late 4th quarter.
If Nick Foles had a game like Kaepernick and even Wilson has had today, people would be calling for his assassination.
Of course when the opposing defense has you by your balls all game it can be rough.
Tough game.
Never, ever throw on Richard Sherman. You’re asking for trouble.
That was a great desperation play by Sherman he was beat and that LB made a great hustle play.
Sherman is a great CB. He makes plays like that consistently, he has long arms to do it when he is beat. Most QB’s stay away from him,the 49ers normally do. I think Kaep thought he could throw it over Sherman and I know Kaep believes in Crabtree’s ability. Stay away from Sherman!…Period. I bet Manning will heed that. If not, he’ll get the heart break too!
his post game interview was great. eagles d needs someone like that
They sure do Big Mhenski…..
Sherman is a couple sandwiches short of a picnic! Man is he good though. Poor Erin Andrews, I think she peed on herself. LMMFBO!!!!
That ended exactly as it should have! Go Denver let the Manning retirement party begin with a win in two weeks.
I like the Broncos as well Regal…..
Defense fellas Defense on both sides of the ball
Everybody talkin about the QB play to prove their
arguments. Bottom line is the Defense
for these teams should make you realize our Eagles
Ain’t there yet !
I hope Chip has a pad and paper out right now writting down the size he wants to all his players on D. After watching that game he is surely licking his chops at how to build a D like that. Actually… I hope Gamble is there with a list of players to sign and Howie is there writing out sample contracts.
My friends.. THATS WHAT IVE WANTED ON D FOR YEARS!!!
I believe we are on our way to building such a D.
AND we have QB too!!!
Chip has stated many times he wants long big players. CB’s Sylvester Jean Baptiste 6’3″ and Piere Desir 6′ 2″. They can be had in the later rounds and can learn for a year while Williams and Fletcher burn another year off of their contracts.
Desir is going to be a steal for somebody now that kid can get after it.
Yeah, I’m going to watch him in the East West shrine game that I dvr’d. I know he was having a rough time at practice. Sounds like he has the ability but is a couple of years away from being ready. I could see a team like Seattle getting the best out of him. Theway they develop their d backs is outstanding!!!
Watch my 6-7th Round target Ethan Westbrooks from West Texas A&M
Cliff, I watched the first half last night. Ethan Westbrooks looks like a good pick up in the later rounds. He definitely has great size and burst oof of the edge.
He’s been on my radar, since the end of last year, when he recorded 19 sacks. I believe that is the same school Michael Strahan came from – who he reminds me of – but a little faster.
Good value in the 6th -7th round
gmc, if he has a good combine, I think Westbrooks goes in the 3-4. He could be a steal for someone. Same for Desir, & Jean Baptiste. BTW Eagles, It’s Stanley Jean- Baptiste, not Sylvester.
gmc, did you mean Lavelle Westbrooks, from Georgia Southern.
Because he played at West Texas A&M, the competition level may be a real concern DCar, so he will go in the later rounds, unless someone sees what I see, puts a high value on him, and drafts him early…Its been done before
No Ethan Westbrooks…He played his tail off in that game
How many times have I mocked him (Pierre Desir), in my 3rd-4th Round Draft Biggie?
You are right, But some will shy away because he played at small Linwood College, and the competition is a triple step up – I agree, but you have to look at the overall talent, and ability – He has a little Prime Time in him, but he is physical, can really wrap up and tackle…and he runs a 4.43…….
I draft him in the 4th Round w/ him at 6-2, and Kyle Fuller at 6-1, they can be the future starting CB’s in 2 years – Brandon Boykins is a good athlete, and a fantastic backup, but he is not a starter.
Cliff I know I talked earlier about reaching but this kid Desir has size and speed you that you coach in a CB, remember Mel Blount was from a little tiny school as well. I would reach for Desir. Yes my brother I’m 51 but my two sons 9 and 6 keep me young. LOL
I don’t think your reaching Biggie – I think this kid has talent, and I would draft him, and Kyle Fuller as my future starting CB’s
Sounds like you got a nice Family Biggie. I think that is so cool 😉
Check out the videos I posted on both of them
I didn’t know about Fuller but man his talent shows up big time as well. Good find right there Cliff
Told you Biggie!!
I hope so Stevo!!!
We watched two great young QB’s making plays against the two best defenses in the league.Great game…Seattle will probably beat Denver in the SuperBowl
Two great quarterbacks? Were you watching the niners Seahawks game? Wilson is a nice qb.. He manages the game and makes a play or two… Very nice qb. Kap… He runs fast and struggles throwing.. He reads first receiver then runs
Some of these guys will never get it! Very youthful ( I am being nice) QB play. After watching a surgeon in the first game watching this was HORRID!
I wouldn’t say we saw two great young QBs today. Aside from Kapernick making a few plays with his legs, I thought both struggled and turned the ball over too much. How in the world do you fumble the first play of the game on your own 20? He looked like Vick running around with a loaf of bread. Kap had 3 turnovers and another fumble that he luckily recovered. On the other hand, I thought Kap was going to win the game. His legacy was about to start coming together as a clutch QB but he’ll have to wait until next year. You wanna talk about great; let’s talk about Peyton because he was brilliant.
Now, there really shouldn’t be a single word mentioned about the QB play because it was average at best. What last night showed me is just how nasty these two defenses are and how far off we are. Good Lord those defenses was amazing.
they made plays when the play broked down. Foles would have scored 3 points against these defenses.
Made plays? Kap made three turnovers in the 4th quarter… That is ass
Kap threw more int’s in the 4th quarter than Foles did all year! Hilarious
The word is broke not broked.
Anyways Kaep made a few plays when the play broke down. Few to none when the play didn’t break down. And most times when the play didn’t break down he broke it down himself by throwing 2 picks, fumbling twice , throwing air balls, throwing dirtballs, scrambling for no reason and not getting the ball to his playmakers

How much does gcobb pay you to write with poor grammar, make ridiculous posts, just to falsely portray yourself as a brother from the hood when in reality you are probably some pin head college professor, with a degree in piled high and deep, aka Phd, in sociology or some related endeavor
Seriously, there is no other way to explain your posts
I have discussed with you non football issues and your writing, thought, although sometimes equally controversial, your writing is clear. Reason behind some of which you say.
But with the quarterback of the eagles your postings have me believing you are a paid agitator, or troll as these dudes say, because even though there are stupid sports fans in the world, nobody, nobody can be as stupid as you sound with your posts about foles
Also known as a muckraker back in the day
I heard Richard Sherman’s post game ‘interview’ : He’s not wrapped too tight.
I like my defensive players “not wrapped too tight”.
Songs, I’ll actually agree with you for once; I loved Sherman’s comments after the game. I’d pay money out of my own pocket for him to be on the Eagles.
I’m still waiting for Sherman to play a good qb wr tandom
Last Seahawks loss, Sherman made 2 pics, but got beaten by Carson Palmer to Michael Floyd for the winning TD.
Sherman is top notch, no doubt, and I expect him to come up with a couple of big plays against the Broncos, but he’s not superman. [—-)
Harbaugh had three timeouts on that last drive, and could be he should have discussed things a little bit with Kaepernick as they were driving…Those timeouts served no purpose after the Seahawks intercepted the ball.
***Breaking PHils News***
GM Amaro is talking actively with OF Vernon Wells who was released by the Yankees a few weeks back.. Wells is bring paid $21 Million from the Angels/Yankee’s whether he plays or not anymore.. The Phils can pick him for the League Minimum and add yet another “Veteran” to their Line-Up..
It appears that GM Amaro is going “all-in” for what should be his Final Season as Phils GM…
paul, all in???? To what, fully in the dumpster? Absolutely disgraceful, this team will be! 4th place, 3rd at best.
Great players make plays…which is what we saw Kaepernick and Wilson do against two of the best defenses in the NFL with Seattle and San Francisco…they kept plays alive with there feet…made great runs, outstanding on the money throws with pressure on them…and the best defense in the league -Seattle made enough plays for them to hang on to the win.
We have already seen Kaepernick make plays to beat Green Bay and Carolina in the playoffs…he is head and shoulders over Nick Foles…he took his team to the Super Bow last year and the NFC Conference championship this year.
Wilson has taken his team to the Super Bowl this year making clutch throws in key moments of the game…the young QB is a winner and a clutch money player. We need a QB like Wilson or Kaepernick to put us in that elite status
Kool, do you harp on this to convince yourself or others? You have nothing else to bring to this forum. Can you please diversify your posting ability.
14-28 153, 2 interceptions and a fumble. That’s a bad game. Not clutch. I was rooting for the 49ers. Kaep choked, just like Richard Sherman told him he did!
It is ass!
Eaglehaslanded…when have you ever brought forth an original thought to this forum? Did you watch the game or did you just read the stats after the game? Your same old and tired ‘stats’ arguments always ignores the realities of what happens in the game.
Kaepernick was clutch in this game…Seattle beats SF easily without his performance. He made mistakes, but he made some amazing plays that gave them a legitimate chance to win. He made some amazing throws in that very last drive. to put them in position….and then the best cornerback in the league made a great play to bail Seattle out!
Watch the game on TV sometimes instead of just reading the boxscores and the stats…the game was on Fox…you dont even need cable to get Fox man….damm!
The last pass was under thrown, the other int was a piss poor decision and under thrown, the two fumbles were poor ball security and being unaware of the play around him. He made some nice plays.. The throw for a TD was a play only he makes… But overall it was a subpar game in which he choked in the 4th
The last past was on the money…Sherman just made a great play and got a hand on the ball…he made a number of amazing throws under pressure on the money…Seattle’s secondary dont give QB’s a lot of wide open receivers to throw the ball too…they are the best in the league…he kept them in the game…made plays with his feet and it took an outstanding play from the best corner in the league to keep Kaepernick from throwing a winning touchdown in the end
What about the first pick? Who and what the bleep was he throwing at? Straight to the Seattle defender! Kaep single handedly cost me a bet on dinner!
should’ve listened to me handed. Seattle paid my bills this month
Yeah, my father called me and said the same thing as he was laughing!
cigar I agree only kaepernick can throw the ball through earl Thomas’s hands and convert a sure fire int into a td
Kool, I bring forth original thought every time I post, that’s why I post on various subjects unlike you. You are one dimensional in your thought process. I don’t have cable…I’m more of a Sunday Ticket guy! You’re tooooo funny with your attempts at humor, but you’re the joke!
HA! no you dont! You wouldn’t know an ‘original thought’ if it bit you on the ass! You bring nothing to the table except a notable lack of football knowledge …just a question for you….how long have you been blind?
If I was blind why would you assume I could read your post genius? Stop being so one dimensional…the only thing you talk about is the QB position! That’s a fact. My post are clearly diverse and littered with original thought and analysis. You wish you had a football acumen on par with mines “Son!”
You wouldn’t know an ‘original thought’ if it bit you on the ass! What a trite cliche…see no original thought.
Kookbreeze aka Hot air…do you light incense when you bow down to your Kaepernick alter…just a question?
Kaepernick was clutch. Haaaaa. You are retarded. 2 Ints and 2 fumbles and threw the game away. Yep clutch for the other team. Matt mcgloin probably wins that game for the niners yesterday.
Kaep was clutch yesterday. Haaaa. Move over Dave chapelle
Kool u have downs no question in my mind.
Don’t insult the downe syndrome community like that!
LOL @mdumski and his stumblebums! …are you guys at the ‘hole in the wall’ bar again getting drunk?
Please explain three 4th quarter turnovers and clutch… It is the anti-clutch without question.
He will not because he can not! With integrity and honesty anyhow!
great defenses force turnovers all the time…that’s why Seattle is the best…if you watched the plays that Kaepernick made in that last drive…some of the passes he completed to covered receivers, pressure plays…you know why that it took an amazing play in the endzone by the best cornerback in the league to preserve the win for Seattle.
Foolbreeze, Keep working on that….you may convince some feeble minded fool besides yourself.
3 4th quarter turnovers. That is not clutch no matter how you slice it. He kept them in the game until the game until he blew it. Yes they are a good defense but that doesn’t excuse the turnovers.
My question is why try to throw to Sherman’s side at the end of the game?
He had one v one with a great receiver. I don’t fault him for that decision. It was a poorly thrown ball… We all know the cliche…’throw it where only the receiver can catch it’… He is not very good in the pocket obviously. And until he gets good in the pocket this’s tuff will happen.
It’s called panic. Richard Sherman hit it right on the head (choke sign). Kaep admitted he blew the game. Foolbreeze can’t bring himself to admitting what his own QB god has admitted.
you didn’t land Eagle…you fell on your head from being drunk…the QB is supposed to take the blame…Kap is a stand up guy…he made mistakes and admitted it…no one is seriously paying Sherman’s choke sign any attention..except fools like you…
Serious football fans watched the game…and they saw the plays the guy made…some of those throws…on the money, with pressure, to COVERED receivers were simply amazing.
Of course, you have your own agenda against the guy…but it is obvious to anyone who watched the game that the QB didn’t choke…he was beaten by the best defense in the league and they needed a great play from their best player to save their ass from a loss!
Kool, see, now your using the word fool after I used it as part of your moniker. No original thought , once again! Yes I’m drunk with honesty, which you clearly have difficulty with!
Foolbreeze, my agenda is to get your head out of Kaep’s ass, clearly the only thing you’re talking is the fecal matter(crap) which is flowing from Kaep’s bowels into your mouth.
Clutch is overcoming adversity and making plays….he made plays against the BEST defense in the NFL…hands down.. not just a ‘good’ defense…the last play was a brilliant play by Sherman…not a bad throw at all…Sherman read the receiver and knew to make a play on the ball
The bottom line is that San Francisco is blown out….if Kaepernick does not make the plays to keep them in the game. The ONLY reason they had even the slightest chance to win is because of Kaepernick! Gore gave them nothing…receivers were on lock down by the secondary…Kap kept them in the game….
anyone who cant acknowledge those simple facts are simply football ignorant and probably drunk!
Every analysis today said bad throw not enough air. He did make some plays no doubt. You just have different standards when a white qb doesn’t make enough of them to win… He, like Wilson are game managers… Hand the ball off, make a couple plays, don’t make mistakes and let the defense and run game win it.
he sure did make plays against the best in the NFL. plays that helped the Seahawks win and his team lose.
kaepernick was awesome on 3rd downs too
he is awesome – for his opponents
kaepernick was clutch on that first drive too when Seattle gave him 7 points. damn shame he has bad teammates and he didn’t put up 7 there.
An interception at the end of the game which brings forth a guaranteed loss is a choke. What world do you live in? You like to modify and change the rules to fit your agenda. Thee turnovers in the 4th quarter is choking. Ask Richard Sherman…hell ask Kaep!
I also want to know where kap buys his caps… Whenever I buy a baseball cap the bill is in the front, he buys them with the bill kind do crooked off the back!
Every analysis today and yesterday said great play by the cornerback! what different standards??? haveacigar…i keep telling you to take that marijuana out of your cigars they are corrupting your brain. Wilson and Kap are both more than game managers because they make plays…when the play breaks down or doesn’t go exactly as plan they can improvise…they can create other options…with their legs…the deep ball that Wilson threw early in the game…when the play had broke down…is an example…
Playmakers…make it happen QB’s…Kap’s 53 yard explosive run….damm…amazing play. Mere game managers dont do that!
Our guy made a shitload of plays and committed far fewer mistakes.
our guy got beat by an inferior defense favored at home.
That’s all we need to know about Foles.
He is shit when it counts.
bogus.
Foolbreeze, why are you so caught up on drugs and alcohol. You need an intervention! You’re drunk with Kaep love!
No its not! Choking is determined by how the interception is thrown! Was it a careless pass or did the cornerback make a great play to force the turnover. Chokers dont lead the team down the field with amazing throws prior to the last pass…Kap was making plays…rallying the team…you were on the edge of your seat thinking that San Fran was going to win until…Sherman makes the big play….
And leave Foles out of this! He has never made the kind of throws that Kap was making in the game yesterday..he dont attempt some of those throws…if does not see the receivers wide open…he is not throwing the ball..Some of those passes Kap completed were gunned in between defenders…some over outstretched defenders hands…Seattle secondary dont leave many wide open receivers at all…you have to beat them with pin point accurate passes….Nick Foles dont throw them kind of passes he aint Tom Brady or Manning…or Kap or Wilson….he is not on that level at all!!
Beaglehasfallen-in a drunken stupor- why do you hate Kaep so much? This is the real question? Why? Because he is athletic, has a strong arm, can run? What’s so wrong with that? Just because he has made plays to win playoff games?
Foolbreexe, you have to come better than beaglehasfallen, kinda corny ya know. Um sorry, no I like Kaep, my previous post makes that clear, but don’t let the facts get in theway. Fact is Kaep played a game in which his turnovers lost the game. Any player I like is still open to critiquing by me. That’s the difference between you and I. I could care lesswho the QB is for the Eagles as long as they can win me a Suprerbowl. Foolbreeze, you are partial to Kaep, nothing wrong with that, but your partiality has either blinded you or brainwashed you into believing he is not capable of having a less than average performance. I cheered for Mike Vick when hewas here, donovan when hewas here and definitely Randall. All strong armed, mobil QB’s. I cheered and rooted them because they were Eagles. You QB hop team to team QB to QB. I stated I ultimately want Jameis Winston here, so try another ? which is based on your skewed , false misconception of me. I can critique aplayer when they screw up even if I’m a fan. Your undying love and blinds you does not permit you to be as objective or impartial! Next question and bogus claim that I can shoot down for you. FYI, rooted for kaep and the 9ers in the bowl last year too!
I would take Kap over gun shy ass Foles any day.
Songs…can you imagine what Chip Kelly could do in this offense with a QB with an arm and running ability of Kap. The read option play would be a real threat…DJax would get the ball deep down field because the Qb has a gun to get it too him…we could go toe-to-toe with strong defenses…smh…
Our guy left field with a 4th quarter lead after leading a drive down the field! Kap committed 3 4th quarter turnovers… Good logic on your part
our guy played like shit for 3 quarters.
Checkdowns with receivers running wide open.
Holding the ball while sucking ass on 3rd downs.
Taking unnessasary sacks,so please don’t give me this,”Foles left the field with the lead” shit, when the game could have been blown out the water in the 1st half after the defense gave hm 2 turnovers.
Foles play in the 1st half kept the Saints close enough to win in the end.
period.
Our guy, nobody on here is talking about your guy. You’re an RGIII and redskin fan…remember…beat it fraud. Stop trolling an Eagles forum. I may disagree and bust Kools stones, but he is an Eagles fan and didn’t trade on his team and ultimately I know he really wants what he perceives is best for the team. I’ll give him that. But you…beat it, you have no business or credibility here FRAUD. PASTE THAT!
Answer this genius
One of your boys entered the game in the the last three drives of the game , fumble two pics
Go back to Wesleyan you old fool
Old whitey fool songs, creating controversy for profit, I have a lead to expose this, stay tuned……
Until he throws two pics and fumbles on the last three drives, like he did against the Seahawks , then he’s outttttta of hereeeeeeeeeeee
DJax just had his best year ever, with who at the QB position for most of the year?? Get your head out of your ass.
Who cares about Foles fraud songs..Vinny is not on here, what does Foles have to do with this, screw Foles! Stay on task Fraud!
lmfao they calling him crappernick already
If Crappernick can make it to the NFC Championship game then what should we call a lesser talent like Nick Foles?
Give us a fitting Nick name for Nick Foles?
Hell, Kap did play in a Superbowl last year.
I’ll take a guy in the Superbowl followed by an NFC title game the following year any day.
Hail to the Redskins!! Go RGIII right songs…right. Fraud! Who are you guys taking in the draft? You guys don’t have a first round pick this year. What do ou think of your new coach? What do you believe Dan Snyder needs to do to get your team back to being a contender in the near future? Just wondering…the eagles are going to be smashing you guys for a while. Even with Foles 🙂
call him crappernick still. Rex grossman also played in a Super Bowl
and to be clear Carpernick couldn’t hold nick Foles jock strap. Foles is better in every single meaningful quarterback category.
Crapernick this playoffs:
45 of 82 (a terrible 55%) a measly 576 yrds weasly 3 tds and 3 ints….yards per attempt (should be high with his “big time arm” and all…nope…..a minisculoe 7 yrds/attempt.
From now on every time a terrible QB gets carried by the rest of his team through the playoffs despite his below-mediocre play, we’ll call it a Crapernick.
Ladies and gentlemen I have been told this is the FUTURE of quarterbacking!
Foles on the 49ers and they’re still playing. Crapernick on the Eagles and they’d have a top 10 draft pick.
Ladies and Gentlemen we’ve also been told because Wilson had no rushing yards Sunday that means he’s not a mobile QB. The Niners will be just fine with Kap they will contend again next year but in reality if your a Eagle fan who cares what they do or how Kap does. The reality is mobile QB’s are here to stay. The most important reality is you try to win with what you have if that means mobile or pocket you make do. But I know in your world there is only one way to win a game.
Keep changing those paramaters.
3 weeks ago you were here dropping exclamation points whenever one of the other 3 did something you felt was great – usually scramble for 30. You clearly stated that running QBs were better than Foles because they can do “other things” (ie run) when the play broke down, and that because Foles was incapable of ripping off 50 yard runs he was an inferior QB.
Running (not mobile) qbs were the future (a future we’ve seen fail over and over in the past of course)
Now that 2 of the ‘running’ Qbs have shit the bed (completely predicted btw), the future is no longer “duel threat running qbs”…its now “mobile” QBs.
Well no shit sherlock.
Every Qb has to move around a bit – but the successful QBs (now and in the future) do so IN THE POCKET. Qbs who leave are not protected by the rules, get pounded into the turf, take more physical punishment (and are eventually injured more often) and fumble the ball. The offense becomes inconsistent as teammates can never have any expectation of what they are supposed to do on any play once the freelancing starts.
Running qbs have never enjoyed any consistent NFL success, and they never will.
Functional mobility to avoid a rush step up (not out) of the pocket and deliver the ball is of course, very very important.
Foles has more than adequate pocket mobility.
Wilson is a mobile, athletic QB. But he is not a running QB. He’s too good of a quarterback to be a running QB, he goes through his reads. His mobility buys more time in the pocket.
biglion im pretty sure i was involved in this mobile qb discussion on sunday and im also pretty sure vinnie never said that wilson was not a mobile qb. he did point out that he is a passer and scrambles to pass not run… which makes all the difference…
Mhenski and Vinnie you dudes are so full of crap it’s not funny truth be told both of those dudes were running around like they had no idea what the hell they were doing. Wilson fumbled on the first play of the game a roll out because he’s strictly a pocket passer right? You can continue to watch and draw your own conclusions. Vinnie post your stats with Foles rushing totals knowing damn well it’s a direct result of the offense he’s running change the parameters much?
NOBODY SAID WILSON WAS A POCKET PASSER !!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIM AND KAEPERNICKS GAMES. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??????????????????
JESUS CHRIST LION ITS LIKE YOU ARE TALKING AND MAKING COUNTER POINTS THAT DONT JIVE WITH THE ORIGINAL POINT.
Read Vinnie’s nonsense and yell at him or are you having problems comprehending again?
Vinnie- “Every Qb has to move around a bit – but the successful QBs (now and in the future) do so IN THE POCKET”
Kap and wilson ALSO leave the pocket A LOT (nearly a combined 2k i believe) and have represented the NFC the last 2 years in the superbowl. That sounds pretty successful to me.
Now- id take Foles over both of them but clearly- they are doing something right in those 2 systems.
Songs,
Alex Smith also took this 49ers team to the NFC Championship game in 2011. The following season he had more wins than Kaepernick and would have taken the 49ers to the super bowl too if he continued playing.
Will you take Alex Smith?
Admit it – even YOU could quarterback the 49ers to the NFC Championship game….
Just for fun- i would like to point out that Wilson has over 1,000 rushing yards in the NFL and that he has MORE rushing yards than Kap.
As i’ve said from day 1.. and btw.. id take Foles over EITHER of these guys….. Vinnie changes the rules.
Bottom line Stevo for guys who think of themselves as football guys the things they post are borderline ridiculous but by all means let’s wait for koolbreeze or Skayne to post something and watch everyone attack. I guess growing up watching guys like Staubach and Tarkenton made me think that you used whatever was at your disposal to try to win a football game.
Not to speak for those two as I thin vinnie is the exact same as hot air???stick to the talking points no matter what. But this stems from people on this site saying our guy is ass based on their agenda …fact of the matter is we have a good one. He doesn’t run well but he wins from the pocket with good decisions. Give him Crabtree, Davis and Boldin and those records he set might be even greater. Wilson I think is Fran Tarkington reincarnated. Kap has a long way to go. He can’t beat you from the pocket
I think we are just fine with who we have, I’ll take Davis. I don’t think Bolden and Crabtree is much of an upgrade then Jackson and Maclin in the offense that we run. Bolden would equal Avant in our offense. Just my opinion cigar.
have- i agree. This is why i try to be level headed and I believe am a student of the game (and by game I mean x’s and o’s… not players).
I have said over and over that guys like Vinnie and Songs are just plain silly.
I felt comfortable with both of our QB’s and believe the D is the major spot needed to fix. I am 100% happy with Foles and am excited that we have another year to see what he can do before having to commit big bucks to him. Not because I dont believe he is and will continue to be the guy… but because it HELPS the eagles in the long run.
Its a team game and I like (not fully love yet) our team. If they add size on D and a big WR…. i will love this team.
No worries… This site is the jerry springer show. Angry people with an agenda and little to no education
Read what I wrote about this..
The fact remains…. there are many ways to win in this league… of the 4 teams that remained.. 2 were running qb’s and 2 were all time greats… for the second year in a row a running qb is in the superbowl.
Id still take what we have on O over what they have (minus those big physical WR’s) BUT…..; sorry to say Vin, its not all about the QB. Its a team game.
Birds are FINE on O and need to get better on D. Same thing ive been saying for several years.
@antitrust what game did you watch Sunday? I saw intentional groundings fumbles taking off and running in circles, what reads was he going through? You do what is necessary to win a football game maybe if we stop putting stupid labels on guys we can get past this nonsense. If Kap would have completed one more pass Sunday the talking heads would have lost their minds kissing his ass. Instead you got idiots on this board calling him Crappenick after this kid regardless of how well his defense is has played in a Super Bowl and a NFC championship game in less then two full seasons of starting.
I didnt get a chance to watch Sunday, I was watching some great music artists at Vinoy Park in St pete! Tedeshi Trucks, Galactic, Hot Tuna, JJ Grey, even Leon Russell! It was great. Those are just my observations from watching Wilson in the past, that he looks through the progressions before just taking off running like a QB like Kaep or Vick. Wilson reminds me of Steve Young with his mobility.. not at Young’s ability yet as a passer and overall QB, but I think he has similar upside. (BTW, I thought Young was the best QB of the 90’s). Kap is a very talented QB also. He didnt light a fire under the league this year like he did last year, but he is a very talented young man with good size and should be good for years to come. If I had to pick between the two, though, I’d go with Wilson as the guy who will have a better overall career.
Damn that sounds like a blast, I know you had a good time. My wife and I just came back from visiting friends in St. Pete.
You know JJ Grey is from Jacksonville where I’m based.
so is Tedeshi Trucks… Derek Trucks (plays in the Allman Brothers band, he is basically Duane Allman reincarnated) and his extremely talented wife, Susan Tedeshi. They are one of the best jam/blues/rock bands going today IMO! JJ Grey was fantastic, he didnt have mofro with him, just played by himself. I live in Good Old Ocala, Florida. LOL Cant wait for Wanee Festival at the Spirit of Suwanee!
Horse country, does Travolta still live out there? Yea they all perform at Jax Beach during the summer but it gets tough to get out there we have little ones and the crowd has been getting out of hand down there lately.
Derek Trucks an excellent musician as is Susan Tedeschi ..
They played here in Boone last Fall at our University (Appalachian State University)
Trucks announced that he is leaving the Allman Brothers Band after their Spring 2014 Shows to commemorate the ABB 45th Anniversary Run of Shows at Madison Square Garden to concentrate on his own Band with Tedeschi as is Warren Haynes after these MSG Shows.. Haynes also will focus on Gov’t Mule Projects and the 100 other things he’s involved with as a musician
Travolta does still live here… and Paulman, I’m a huge Warren fan also, saw Gov’t Mule at the Tower theatre near Philly over Christmas, they played an awesome version of Tom Petty’s (another Jax guy) Breakdown! sad the Allman Brothers Band will be breaking up, but excited to see them one last time in April!
I’ll be tossing back some pale ales and IPAs and eating fish tacos at poes in Atlantic beach shortly.
Though to be completely honest, the only reason either guy was in the Championship game is because of their Defense. Best two D’s in the league. Can you imagine the Eagles if they had Seattle’s D, along with our O! I do believe the Eagles have a better offense than both seattle and san fran, but having a “Shut Out Ability” defense is certainly the way to build a team!
agreed Anti but if you have listened to 1 or 2 guys here…. D’s dont really matter. Coaches either…. for the simpletons- It’s all about the QB. At the start. At the middle. At the end.
2 weeks from now if the Broncos win it all- they will point to the fact that an good QB trumps all. Forget the fact that Manning is prolly the greatest of all time because those grow on trees.
*a
And to be clear I wouldn’t trade Foles for either Wilson or Kap even if they threw in a draft pick.
I love that Foles is an Eagle, and it is also exciting to see how talented the QB’s are in this league, especially the young guys. and you are right, there are different ways of playing QB that are successful.
believe me……Foles is not even in a conversation for a trade for Kap or Wilson……
Hell, the Bills wouldn’t trade Manuel for Foles.
Foles is slow and average at best and could only thrive with the best RB in the league.
Without the threat of Shady, Foles is Rex Grossman.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Perhaps we can trade you to the bills?
Songs- for years I’ve agreed with you about what we need on D but…. you are dead wrong about our O. Foles is the real deal… his smarts makes him WAY better than that of Kap. My question to you is this, why bother talking about what other teams have? Do we have a chance to land any of those other QB’S? Why obsessover Kap like vinnie does Vick?
Birds O was very very good under Foles. Lets work on the D.
Does anyone doubt that if Vick remained the QB the Eagles and they still finished 10-6 and lost the Wild-Card Game to the Saints after getting the lead with 4-5 Minutes that all Songs would be talking and bitching about this Off-Season is DC Billy Davis and the shitty Safeties Chung/Allen and missed Tackles, blown COverages, etc, etc about the Eagles Defense.. Songs is nothing but a “Chump Ass’ and really just needs to be ignored…
Excellent points Paul… Unfortunately arguing with a crazy person or drunk (songs is one or the other) is pointless. For all vinnies stats this was the best argument against that fruit loop… He will ignore it I’m sure

You claim this web site is Jerry Springer
That is perfect, except you exclude yourself from the participants
Your assessment would carry credibility if you were never part of the frey, but you are right in line with some of your posts, especially against dcar, and others, you disparage the education level without knowing the degrees earned by some here
But it is Springer, and you are part of the participants
Maybe you are Dr. Evil in that spoof in Austin powers, where his son, Scott, talks about his dysfunctional father.
Never said I wasn’t. It’s a guilty pleasure I guess. I think it’s comical people challenging fights, locking caps, cursing… Trashy but comical.
Who amongst us even the reasonable ones hasn’t paused on jerry when some uneducated group of he said/she said morons are ready to fight and you hear more bleeps than dialogue….
