Sam Bradford Sets Timeline For Full Go At Start Of Training Camp

Eagles FootballChip Kelly has tried to protect Sam Bradford from any type of timeline regarding his return to full action, but the quarterback stepped forward today put himself out there.

“I think if I’m not ready for 11-on-11 by training camp, then I think something has gone terribly wrong,” Bradford said according to Zach Berman of Philly.com  “That’s the plan.”

I like that.  There’s no use in hiding the obvious.  Bradford didn’t say the words timeline or deadline in those sentences, but for all intents and purposes he put it on the line.  You can read what he said again, if he’s not there doing everything in training camp, SOMETHING HAS GONE TERRIBLY WRONG.

I don’t think that was a risky statement.  He looks better every time he goes through a workout and he said he feels better.  Bradford’s gradually moving easier on his leg, which is what you would expect.

“You guys have probably seen the progress from the time that you’ve been out here, but I just feel more comfortable dropping back,” Bradford said according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com. “When I first got out here, I was about a half-count slow. I feel like I’ve kind of worked myself back to as close to game speed as I can get it right now. Overall, I just feel more comfortable with me knee. I trust it more, it’s not as sore, and overall I just feel better.”

When Chip Kelly was asked about Sam Bradford being ready for Training Camp he replied, “God, we hope so.”

Bradford has been here in town working out every day at the Nova Care Complex and he plans on continue that schedule all the way up until Training Camp.

“I’m going to be around here most of the time”, Bradford said according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com. We sat down a little bit last week with the strength staff and the training staff and kind of put together a plan. I think it’s five and a half or six weeks from the time we leave Thursday to when we get back, so I plan on sticking around here and continuing to work.”

“When Training Camp comes around and I’m hopefully able to get out there for every snap, then I think things will really come together, but for the most part I feel really good about where I am right now.”

I like the fact that he’s focused.

All things that anyone would expect Bradford to say
to be honest, no one knows, Bradford, the Doctors or Coach’s
He has another 6-7 weeks to keep working, getting strong and increase his mobility, etc, etc but its going to be a continual work in progress
Do note that Bradford has not played “”Live Football in almost a Year” and also missed most of the 2013 Season due to Injury as well.. So whats a couple of weeks at this point… The Key is to have him Healthy but he is going to need time to be sharp in his game..

Definitely a Positive that he will remain in Philly most of this time before Camp Starts.. He’s putting in the work, so hopefully some good things start to come his way for the Franchise and Coach Kelly & Fans are counting on it…

Fraud, your week 4-6 prediction is off unless ‘something goes horribly wrong’ and if it does…. We are screwed!

True but it’s the nba..a bastardization of hoops. Iggy is a nice player, a fine player but not a ‘franchise’ player. As for “stick the knife in’…I try not to be defeatist but getting a big man with bad feet…. Even a casual fan knows about that.
Still you have to tip your cap…

A great Championship Series Victory for Golden State over Cleveland
Iggy played very well and was the difference in these last few games which put the Warriors over the Top… With Curry/Thopmson/Green/Lee the Warriors were the better “Team” over the NBA’s Top Player LeBron James who had inconsistent support and injured players on his side….
Congrats to Warriors & Iggy

I Wonder if he’ll say that GM Hinkle and the 76ers owns this Draft like he’s said the last 2 Years … What a Putz..

Henski, people should be fired today for the bull pen foull up. Utley let the pitching coach have it. Maybe make him player manager…
I cannot believe they are waiting to fire amaro till after he makes the rebuild trades. It makes no sense. If you are going to fire him should have been last fall.

Phils to Trade Hamels (Which is why they Signed Veteran Kevin Corriea to absorb his Innings and be a mentor for the young Pitchers along with Harrange and Receive 2 AAA/Pro Ready Prospects in Return and a Single A Prospect)

Phils to Trade Closer Papelbon for 1 or 2 Single A to Double A Prospects

Phils to Trade Catcher Ruiz for a Prospect

No one wants Ryan Howard or Chase Utley even if Phillies pay 100% of their Salaries, there is simply no Market for them so they are stuck with them…

I hope the Phillies get that much for Hamels. At this point I think other teams see the desperation and aren’t going to over pay for Hamels and his large contract.

Harang could be a goner for a lower level prospect.
Papelbon will be traded to the Cubs for a AA prospect.
Not sure if Chooch has much value any more he has struggled all year long.

The fact that we are the worst team in baseball and have lost 9 straight, I’m very surprised there have been no firings. Every day that goes by with the same management in place is crippling this team. They need to fire Ruben and Sanberg NOW while they have the chance.

If they fire him now then who heads trade negotiations? He has been deeply involved in all negotiations, I guess gillick can take over but really knowing this was happening then he should have been gone last day of last season.
As for Hamels value it has only increased. Teams will bid against each other and his contract is actually reasonable
