Thoughts From Eagles-Giants

DeMeco Ryans Turns Game Around Before Leaving With Injury

During last week’s win over the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles needed a standout defensive effort from Fletcher Cox to turn the game around and get things going.

On the heels of yet another slow start from Chip Kelly’s vaunted offense, the Birds were placed into another position where they needed a defensive hero to step up.

This week, it was veteran leader DeMeco Ryans who filled the role. With the Giants already up 7-0 and marching for another touchdown, Ryans made a sensational play to wrestle the ball away from tight end Larry Donnell. The interception was a turning point in the game.

Not only did this prove to be a 14-point swing in favor of the Eagles, but it also helped fire up the defense and rattle Eli Manning, who started strong but didn’t look the same after his first turnover.

Ryans would leave the game in the first half with a hamstring injury, but while he was in the game he was constantly around the ball. He registered several important tackles to stop the New York running game for short gains, and also came down with a fumble recovery in the second quarter.

Pass Rush Comes Alive

One of the biggest keys to this game was that the Eagles’ pass rush was able to dominate the New York offensive line.

Fletcher Cox, Bennie Logan, Vinny Curry, Connor Barwin, and Brandon Graham proved to be too much for the Giants line to handle, and the Birds’ pass rushers completely shut the New York offense down in the second half.

The front seven managed four sacks, and threw Eli Manning completely out of his rhythm.

Eagles Overcome Bradford

Goodness, it is becoming more and more frustrating to watch Sam Bradford play quarterback.

Bradford turned in another terrible first half against the Giants, with many of the problems he displayed in previous games returning. Six weeks into the season, Bradford is still having issues getting on the same page as his receivers. He missed a wide open Darren Sproles on the Eagles’ first possession, leading to a three-and-out. He also missed Jordan Matthews at the end of the first half on a downfield throw that landed just short of the wide receiver.

Bradford also committed another terrible interception. Facing no pressure, Bradford made a bizarre throw that went right into the arms of a New York defender, killing a drive in which the Eagles began near midfield.

Bradford would go on to throw two more terrible interceptions in the second half.

Bradford’s play was inconsistent at best, and erratic at worst.

The Eagles are getting away with it right now, but the more I see the less I believe that this team can actually win with him as the starting quarterback.

The Birds are winning in spite of Bradford, and its been that way throughout the season. That’s not a good sign six weeks into the year.

Quick Thoughts

Offense

  • Jason Kelce is just having a terrible season. I don’t want to hear that he’s trying to compensate for the terrible guards around him, he just isn’t playing well. Kelce committed another holding penalty to kill one drive, and then killed another with a bad snap that he shot right over Bradford’s head. In the third quarter, Kelce forgot the snap count, leading to a false start.
  • Jordan Matthews has been another guy who has been brutal for the Eagles. Matthews dropped a couple more passes during tonight’s game, and also had a costly fumble at the start of the second half that took away a valuable scoring opportunity from the Eagles.
  • Quietly, Riley Cooper has been reemerging in this offense as an effective role player. Cooper made an excellent play on his touchdown reception, showing good concentration to come down with the ball. Cooper began the second half catching a downfield pass to put the Birds in field goal range.
  • Matt Tobin was beat on a pass rush by New York full back Nikita Whitlock.
  • DeMarco Murray had another decent showing, posting his first 100-yard game and scoring a touchdown.
  • Ryan Mathews chipped in 40 yards on nine carries.
  • For the third straight week, Darren Sproles was not involved on offense, posting just two carries and one reception.

Defense

  • Marcus Smith was active again and took some snaps with the defense.
  • With Smith at outside linebacker, the Eagles have been able to return Vinny Curry to his natural position of defensive end. Curry picked up a sack in the first half.
  • Fletcher Cox picked up another sack, and forced a fumble.
  • Nice to see Nolan Carroll come away with the big pick-six. He’s quietly been one of the team’s best and most dependable defenders.
  • Carroll played a big role in keeping Odell Beckham without a catch in the second half.
  • Too many penalties from Byron Maxwell. Enough already.

Special Teams

  • Caleb Sturgis hit both of his field goal attempts, and made all of his extra points.
  • Scary moment in the second half when Darren Sproles went down with what looked like a concussion. Sproles would return, but I question why the Eagles even risked putting him back out there with the game well in hand?

Final Thoughts

The Eagles have evened their record at 3-3, and risen to the top of the NFC East.

However, this was far from a convincing performance, and the Eagles are still in some trouble moving forward.

This is still a sloppy, clumsy, mistake-prone team, with the quarterback being the worst offender.

They got away with it tonight simply because New York had roughly triple the mistakes that the Eagles had.

The good news here is how well the Eagles’ defense continues to play. Two weeks in a row, the unit has been directly responsible for the team’s win.

Offensively? There’s still a ton of issues. Several of the Birds’ scoring drives were kept alive by Giants mistakes.

A much stiffer challenge awaits this team next week, when they travel to Carolina to face the undefeated Panthers.

After a solid, simplified and physical game plan last week on offense, Chip went back to the R/O nonsense in this game. The defense is looking fantastic and making plays all over the field. This one should have been over by half-time, sans our horrendous QB. The birds probably end up 8-8 or 9-7 this season and have to decide whether to draft a rookie QB and go through all the growing pains, or re-sign the epically pedestrian Bradford to an extension. Neither sounds like a contender to me. Maybe they can trade Sam to another team for a 25 y/o starting QB with a winning record and recent historic passing numbers and that team will throw in a 2nd round pick as well. Nah, that would be stupid.

Our defense is our strength now. Billy Davis hasn’t hurt us lately. Fletcher Cox and Bennie Logan ARE MEN!! Bradford still does not look like anywhere close to the answer, but he clearly isn’t as badas his receiving crew. Mathews looks like a 3rd option on any decent team. Cooper is still a scrub. Huff hasno football IQ whatsoever. The rbs seem to have adjusted nicely. Peters at 80 yrs old is still clearly the best olineman. Kelce isn’t playing any better than the guards, and I’m now convinced that Lane Johnson was as much a reach as Smith. But great win. Thanks Elisha Manning, still proving that you don’t need an elite qb to win a chip..

Bradford is the worse starting QB the Eagles have had since Doug Pederson.

Donovan McNabb had far worse receivers than the Eagles have now and he threw fewer INT’s than any QB in the league most years.

Irish these receivers haven’t accomplished anything other than the distinction for most dropped passes. I would take Charles Johnson and Torrance Small over these guys. And though McNabb is considered the best qb in franchise history, accuracy was never his strong point, nor was a willingness to take risk (thus the low int to td ratio)

Every team drops the ball.

Eagles are 4th in the league with 12 official “drops”

Giants, Texans, and Falcons all have more dropped passes than the Eagles.

Jags also have 12 drops

11 drop teams include
Chicago
Denver
St. Louis

10 drops:
Colts and Panthers

In fact….14 teams have 9 or more drops including the Pats. And the Pats have 9 in 5 games.

The Pats, Raiders, Jets, and Dolphins, who have each played only 5 games, are all on pace to be right up there with 11 or 12 drops after their 6th game…just like the Eagles.

This “lead the league in drops” BS is just that BS.

Just a pure pile of excuse making garbage.

And Jordan Matthews??

His drop %age is 5.6….that’s about 30th…NFL wrs who are dropping a higher %age of their passes including Odel Beckam, Edelman, Cooper, Mike Evans, Terrance Williams. He’s been credited with the same # of drops as Steve SMith….with the same # of atts.

Now I will grant you that “drops” stats are subjective…and based on a spotter…..but the truth remains….

Every team drops the ball…..and while the Eagles are at the upper end of the scale, once all the bye weeks have been equalized, they’re going to be bunched in there with about 1/2 the league.

Bradford sucks.

As usual you come with your bs. You stating that all teams have drops is selective outrage over poor play. Dropped passes aren’t the only determinant in regards to poor receiver play. There isn’t a credible poster who would vouch for this group’s production. Using your warped reasoning, I might as well say all qbs throw int and ignore the obvious fact that Sam’s play has been bad and not what one expects from an elite franchise qb. I don’t need stats to tell me what my eyes can clearly see for either position. But I’m willing to ride this out with Sam JUST LIKE I DID WITH FOLES WHEN HE WAS PLAYING LIKE SHYT LAST YEAR. Oh spreaking of Foles -WHO’S NO LONGER ON MY TEAM-, how does he compare to OUR CURRENT POOR PLAYING QB? Not only is he STATISTICALLY inferior, he is the worst STATISTICALLY starting qb in the league who hasn’t been BENCHED!!!!!!!
You are much worst than what you and many others accuse Kool of. The original qb hating spammer. Now some of us are still waiting for you to be a MAN and stop welshing and LEAVE THE MSSG BRD!!

Such misplaced anger. Relax.

This is your line:

“Irish these receivers haven’t accomplished anything other than the distinction for most dropped passes. ”

I am sorry it bothers you that your line is wrong.

It is ridiculous to keep harping on drops as a Bradford excuse. By the time the Bye rolls around, Eagles WRs will be middle of the pack as far as drops are concerned.Perhaps they’ll be at 1 or 2 more than another team.

Doesn’t change the fact that Bradford, despite playing some statistically pathetic pass defenses, is playing like shit.

Nick Foles doesn’t play for the Eagles anymore – I understand that… I have no love for Nick Foles and I understand why Chip Kelly wanted to upgrade… I know Kelly thought he was upgrading the QB position when he brought Bradford here.

As far as I’m concerned it’s still too early to tell if Bradford is an upgrade – a downgrade – or a lateral move.

One thing that is very clear from watching both Foles and Bradford is the fact that Foles’ peak performances are much higher than Bradford’s – and Foles’ bad performances are much worse than Bradford’s

Bradford has archived a QB rating of 100 or more 11 times in 55 career games… Foles has archived a QB rating of 100 or more 13 times in only 33 games.

When you look at the games Foles has played this year, he has a 100+ QB rating against the two best teams he played…

Foles is either Great…. or he Sucks.

I think Kelly wanted a QB that was more consistent… and that’s what he got. Now, Bradford has to be consistently good instead of what he has been so far…

Sorry RealTalk – that’s my last word on Foles, and Bradford…. And Sonny Jurgensen and Norm Snead… Did I say that out-loud… sorry. LOL

Eagles win in spite of Sam Bradford, who isn’t used to throwing INTs
October 20, 2015, 1:30 am

Sam Bradford was 24 of 38 for 270 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in the Eagles’ 27-7 win over the Giants. (USA Today Images)
Eagles down Giants, take over first place in NFC East
As hard as he tried, Sam Bradford couldn’t give this divisional game away.

The Eagles dominated the Giants, 27-7, on Monday Night Football to improve to 3-3 and move into first place in the NFC East (see Instant Replay), but the lopsided score was not a result of strong quarterback play.

Really, the Eagles won in spite of Bradford (see 10 observations).

Bradford threw three interceptions against a bad Giants secondary missing its top cornerback, Prince Amukamara. It was the first time since Week 1 of the 2012 season in Cleveland that the Eagles won a game despite their QB throwing three picks.

All three of Bradford’s interceptions came on awful throws downfield. His final pick came in the end zone, Bradford’s fourth interception in the end zone already this season. That is a staggering number. No other NFL quarterback has more than one interception in the end zone in 2015.

“It’s something that I’ve never had a problem with in my career,” Bradford said after the game. “I’ve never really thrown a lot of interceptions. But we’re gonna get it fixed. I’m gonna get it fixed.”

On his first pick, Bradford missed an open Zach Ertz in Giants territory with the Eagles looking to take a two-score lead. “Just a terrible throw,” he said.

His second interception came on a downfield heave to Riley Cooper in double coverage. “I just wasn’t on the same page with Coop,” he said.

On Bradford’s third interception, which took place in the end zone with the Eagles leading 24-7 in the closing seconds of the third quarter, Chip Kelly said the Eagles liked the matchup they had with Ertz but the ball was just “a little bit behind him,” (more from Kelly here).

“We were just taking shots, taking shots,” Cooper added. “Mistakes are gonna happen, but we’re gonna keep our foot on the gas.”

That’s fine, but if so, the Eagles should have absolutely annihilated this stagnant, mistake-prone Giants team. The score realistically could have been 45-7, and while a win is a win, it didn’t do much to inspire confidence in Bradford moving forward.

He did some things well. He completed a 43-yarder to Cooper, a 32-yard TD to Cooper (albeit on an underthrown ball) and a 37-yard heave to Miles Austin. The Eagles even unleashed some play action from under center, adding a wrinkle to the offense. Previously, a defense could see Bradford under center and know a run was coming.

But there was more bad than good from the QB in a game truly won by the Eagles’ defense (see story).

“No. No. That’s not even a question,” Bradford said when asked if he was satisfied with his night. “Just inconsistent, missed some throws. There was some good, there was some bad. But I know for us to be where we want to be I’ve got to play much better.”

There are a couple ways to digest this win. On the one hand, the Eagles put up 425 yards of offense a week after totaling 519. Cooper said he thinks that once the Eagles clean up their mistakes, they’ll be “an excellent team.”

On the other, they still left points on the board. The offensive line is improving, the running game is improving, but volatile would be the best word to describe the quarterback’s performance to date.

“We had some miscommunication today on a couple routes where the quarterback and the receiver weren’t on the same page,” Kelly said. “We have to clean that up. We’ve talked about that.

“[Bradford’s] getting more familiar in terms of what we’re doing, but we can’t continue to do that against really good football teams. We were fortunate that we did it and got away with it today, but in this league you can’t do that and sustain winning.”

The injuries to the Eagles WR’s hurt the Eagles on the offensive side of the ball…Was looking for the Eagles to get Collins manned up on Matthews, but it didn’t happen…Collins on Ertz, was mainly what we saw. Due to the injuries at WR, really couldn’t get enough WR’s on the field to dictate the match ups…Cooper was a surprise…just goes to show how bad the Giants passing defense is and has been this entire season thus far.

I can’t understand why we have Bradford. I’d rather have Nick Foles and the #2 draft pick and the $13 million per year extra we are now paying Bradford. With that $13M we could have overpaid and kept Maclin and used the money elsewhere on the team. Not to mention drafting a 2nd round pick.

I thought Bradford would be better based off of the GB preseason game and got sucked in by the Fools/Foles gold, but, the real Sam Bradford is here. Historically in the NFL he has a 79% QBR. This year it is at 80% and he is turning the ball over at a high rate. 6 games with 9 interceptions 9 TD’s with 9 picks is horrendous. This, in a QB friendly Chip kelly system is unacceptable. Sam is making bad decisions and poor throws..almost Folesian in his performance. He was not even second half Sam last night. Thank God for the defense, Sam tried to give the game away, but the defense was not going to allow that to happen. I want to thank Sam for betting on himself and not accepting a long term deal. Chip better be happy too, that would have been a huge mistake worthy of having his GM powers removed. Sam is not the guy..the search continues!

Yes. Bradford is….”almost Folesian”

Foles had 40 tds to 12 ints in this offence. Bradford has 9 to 9.

So I can see how you think the two are basically the same….actually, by saying “almost” you are really saying Foles was worse, and Bradford is “almost” as bad.

That’s just ridiculous.

Folesian post 27-2 season…he is 13-10 TD/int…still not good enough to lead this team..neither one of them. 27-2 was magical, but an anomaly and not a true measure of Foles’ true skill set.

The difference between Foles and Bradford is that Foles had a stretch where he played at a pro-bowl level. There was a possibility that he might return to that form in Kelly’s offense.

With the exception of four pre-season offensive series Bradford has never performed at a high level.

Not that it matters now – we have Sam and we have to hope…..

Yes, but after that pro bowl season he regressed, now was this due to teams getting film on Foles and understanding his tendencies, weaknesses and capitalizing on them, or did Foles just come back down to earth to play the way he naturally does? I say the latter, so does his game film. It’s not as if Kelly got rid of him after 2013, he got a chance but could not get it done. I would not hate the acquisition of Bradford if we did not give away that second round pick, but this team still has major holes to fill, and in my opinion, one of them remains the QB position besides the obvious ones with OL, WR (still) and OLB.

Please use the Total QBR Rating when comparing QB’s as it’s a much more true reflection of a QB Performance,Decision Making, and making Plays when it counts… The Passer Ratings are strictly based off of YArds and TD’s and don’t take the Red-ZOne, 3rd Down Efficiency, PLay in the last 2 Minutes of a Half and Game into account.. Its strictly Passing Yards and TD’s

Bradford’s QBR was a 31 Last name which is out of a 100 and a Poor Grade

Time to move on guys…. Jmak is with Andy now…. he had an offer.. he moved on.

Bemoan.. cry.. bemoan. Repeat… this is all I hear from some of you simpletons. I love how keeping Foles means you keep guys like Jmak btw… did I miss something, was it a two for? The thought that we couldnt sign Jmak to a long term deal because we traded for sam is completely incorrect.

Meanwhile…… Our D is looking solid. Stopping the run at the line and our backup LB’s are proving their worth. While 31 has not played well at all, Carroll and The 3rd are a pleasant surprise. Im curious to see how they play this week.

Or 132 pts total….22/game avg (even with a shutout – without that they were giving up almost 27/game)

Latest Paulman Rumor has Sam Bradford bolting in Free-Agency to Play for Andy Reid in Kansas City after Big Red Cuts Alex Smith after the Season is Over… AR is in Protecting his Ass/Job and has to make change at QB whether it makes sense or not…..

I believe Eagles have the Following Draft Picks in 2016 Draft

1 in the 1st Round
2 in the 3rd Round – (The Lions and their Own)
1 in the 4th Round
1 in the 5th Round
1 in the 6th Round
2 in the 7th Round

The Conditional 5th or 6th or 7th Round Pick from the Steelers in the Boykin Trade was contingent on how many Snaps Boykin will play this season and right now Boykin, has played very few snaps so it’s most likely the deal will end up as a 7th Rounder from the Steelers

Almost by accident because of desperation the birds came out smelling like roses & better for getting rid of Boykin. Moving Malcolm Jenkins into the slot and putting Maragos at safety in nickle situations has worked out real well. Lucked into looking smart. That was like plan D after plan A( Jacorry Shepherd injured) plan B ( Eric Rowe couldn’t play the slot) and plan C ( Biggers at slot Jenkins at Safety isn’t as good as Jenkins slot Marogos safety) all failed to work in the preseason.
That trade is for a 5th that could be a 4th if Boykin plays 60% of snaps. So Birds get a 5th.
Matt Barkley trade was made official, Chipper gets the Arizona 7th rounder in 2016 because Barkley was on their roster for 6 games. Chipper & Howie traded up in the 4th round to get Barkley in 2013 and gave up their 2013 7th rounder.

I forgot about The 7th Rounder from the Cardinals for Matt Barkley
Both the Steelers and Cardinals are likely to have good Seasons so these Selection will be late in those Rounds

Here you go Vinnie

“As usual you come with your bs.
Now some of us are still waiting for you to be a MAN and stop welshing and LEAVE THE MSSG BRD!!”

Thought I’d give you another chance at redemption. Address the points. no more deflection and straw man. The forum is watching.

Fine….here’s an answer to each and every one of your CAPS LOCK FILLED rant:

“Dropped passes aren’t the only determinant in regards to poor receiver play. There isn’t a credible poster who would vouch for this group’s production. ”

Again…you, and a few others are bringing up the dropped passes as an excuse for Sam. You stated they lead the league in drops.

Don’t be so upset that this is not true. And no, dropped passes are not the only determinant…but they are the determinant you brought up. Overall, this is an average group of Wrs.

“There isn’t a credible poster who would vouch for this group’s production.”
New England: Amandola, Edelman, Dobson Gronk
Browns:Benjamin, Hartline, Hawkins
Hawks: Baldwin, Kearse, Lockett, Graham

And on and On…I could find 20 teams with completely mediocre WR groups and each have QBs playing better. Posters might not “vouch” for this group….but they’re not going to “vouch” for 2/3 of the league either. What is the point?

“Oh spreaking of Foles -WHO’S NO LONGER ON MY TEAM-, how does he compare to OUR CURRENT POOR PLAYING QB?”

Why would I caoompare a QB playing on a different team in a different system? The only thing I can compare is how each played under Kelly. And there’s no comparison.

More bs deflection. I’m already on record stating I don’t believe Bradford’s the answer and I’ve acknowledged his poor play. I called out this group because their poor play stands on its own merit. They’re not even avg. I feel the same way about them as a collective as I did about Cooper when he posted numbers in his “breakout” season. My eyes and gut weren’t fooled, he was below avg.

All the above you listed a better than our receivers. Nice try though.

Don’t bother, your previous attempt above was an abject failure. And no amount of trying to compare our core to others will change the fact that as a collective they’re the most unimpressive.

Do you even read your shyt before you press send? This mssg brd is littered with post from you doing this very thing. I’d be shocked if you fanboys don’t call you out on this bs. You’re slipping Vinnie. Your lies are not even original anymore. ………………….and why haven’t you honored your bet and left yet?

This talk about Foles vs Bradford is really starting to piss me off…and I’m going to start bringing the heat to anyone who keeps bringing Foles up…He’s gone, get over it. Bradford has not played well, in fact he has been ass for the majority of his snaps…. but he is the QB of the Eagles…either bash his play or Chip Kelly’s move for bringing him in…but bringing up a player who is no longer on the team is a waste of time…there is no way to prove how well any other QB would be doing in this system with this year’s team…so just stop it!

Agreed. All I want to to talk about is the current QB and why he keeps giving it back to the other team. Doesn’t look comfortable.

Also, why can’t Mathews catch balls that hit him in the hands.

Real I’ve never had any beef with you, but do what you will. I’m far from a bradford apologist. I can just smell bs coming from the same antagonist that have been doing the same shyt since Mcnabb was here. Some of y’all may want to overlook this for the sake of civility. And I can understand that. But brewski don’t give a phyuk. My vision ain’t blurry. I’m the same cat that stood behind foles when he was playing like shyt and the same azzclowns were still posting dumbshyt about Vick. All I’m stating is I’m willing to ride this out with Bambi like I did Foles. But I will remind those Bradford detractors WITH AN AGENDA that I’m on to the bs. we all know who spammed this mssg brd with pro Kolb nonsense against McNabb; then against Vick no matter how bad he looked here and then in Az. We all know who spammed the brd with Vick this and Vick that when he was here and even while he was on another team. it’s the same full of shyt people that apparently some want to give a pass to. I won’t, phyuk them.

Real dude im with you man, vinnie is forever trying to compare everything foles to everything bradford does to the point it has become so annoying, i get bradford looks like ass but jesus man why is that all you talk about, does it hurt you that much that foles is gone, dude stfu, HE IS GONE 4 ever. Like i said since day 1 everything you say leads back to foles, enough is enough

Because Vinnie to be honest, ain’t the only one that does this. He has a bunch of fanboys who have been co-signing his spamming bs for years. I understand Real’s frustration, as well as other sensible mbrs like EHL. Hell I can’t say I really ever disagree with them. But they, you, me and many others can place Vinnie and his clown azz reach around clan in the same box the primary problem. If they cut their bs out, posters like Kool wouldn’t feel the need to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Kendricks has missed about half his games the last 2 Years..
He rarely practices and was probably a bad signing to extend him for 4 more years moving forward.. When you can’t Practice, It shows up on Sundays

Kendircks played in 12 games last season and missed 3 games this season…No problem with his extension…when he plays he brings it…this year may be his only year where has has really missed significant time…

What’s up Good Brother Real!!??

Have to agree with you. Kendricks is probably our most talented Linebacker. Many were referring to him as a future pro bowler.

The injuries are unfortunate, but when he is healthy, he’s better than Kiko. Paul should be more critical of him because he is looking like an overrated one year aberration.

What’s good GM hope all is well brotha…

IMO Kendricks is our most talented and athletic LB…finishes tackles, good in pass coverage, quick, around the ball…hes been a positive since he’s been in the league…wish Davis would use him better on the blitz, move him around a bit more….Kiko when healthy is a problem also…but he hasn’t been I think Paul got the two confused…

I’m still trying to recover from my rotator cuff, and labrum surgery. I don’t know what’s worse the pain, or the medication.

I really wanted to get Justin Houston, and draft Bud Dupree, and Stephone Anthony to boost the talent in our LB Core this offseason. I see that as our weak link on our D, because of our inconsistent pass rush = omitting the Giants game.

Paul, has wanted to get rid of Kendricks, and is stuck on that. I don’t think it would be a good idea, knowing Alonzo’s injury history; and he just too good to just let go.

Until Kiko can put together a full season, I’m sticking with Kendricks and Ryans as our best ILBs. How you feeling about Bennie now GM. He and Cox may be the best 34 dt/nose and de in the game. I would have loved to see what they could have done in a 43 at this stage of their development.

Rotator surgery no joke and definitely takes time to heal. Don’t rush it…. A good friend of mine recently had rotator cuff surgery…He bowls and is probably out of commission for the next 6 months he says…The medication that puts you on your ass and makes your lethargic are the worst…

I didn’t feel our first pick should have been at the LB spot…I felt we were good this year with Kendricks, Barwin, Ryans, Alonso…now seeing how Hicks is playing I think the Eagles did a good job at LB in the draft…I felt the pick should of been used on the line…considering the Eagles didnt resign Maclin, I can’t blame them for going at WR…

Justin Houston from KC is a serious problem on that defense…over Alonso, considering the injury history and the production…..But, Bob Sutton knows how to use his LB’s…Began in college as LB coach..and when not a DC in the NFL he’s mainly been a LB coach. One of the reasons why I believe Billy Davis should be more successful using the LB’s, considering he’s been a LB coach the majority of his career…

Didn’t really know much about Bud Dupree, saw highlights but never really caught a game to watch fully…

Stephone Anthony…I do know a little something about as I watched a few Clemson games and he was a name mentioned a lot during the combine…definitely a solid player, he has that attitude you want from a MLB…But when you compare the stats he’s put up, with Hicks..I like the Hicks pick in the 5th round even more…unfortunately, we didn’t hit on the 1st round pick just yet…but hopefully Agholor turns out to be worth it in the long run…
