JAMES BROSHER/Journal Star Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Trent Cole (58) drags down Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (6) for a sack during the first half of a game on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Key Matchups When Bears Have The Football – Eagles defensive ends Vinny Curry, Connor Barwin and Brandon Graham are the keys to the Eagles defense tonight. They must beat the Bears mediocre offensive tackles Bobby Massie and Charles Leno and get to Jay Cutler. If they let Cutler have time to throw the ball downfield, the Birds will be in trouble.
The Bears have a tremendous matchup advantage wth there wide receivers Alshon Jeffery, Kevin White and Eddie Royal versus the Eagles cornerbacks Nolan Carroll, Ron Brooks and rookie Jalen Mills. The Eagles defensive pass rush has to help the Birds defense Cutler and his receivers.
Key Matchups When The Eagles Have The Football – The key of the game will be the Birds offensive line’s ability to get their running game going by opening up holes for Ryan Mathews and Kenjon Barner. It’s not going to be easy because Chicago has a young and improving front seven.
Despite his success against the Browns, I still don’t want to ask Carson Wentz to carry the Eagles offense. I want the running game to get going first, then we’ll open it up with the kid.
Penalties killing us none on bears pissing me off
