The Eagles came into this game with an emphasis on the running the football. They wanted to run the football and keep it away from a high scoring Falcons offense. Run it they did and they did very well. The Eagles offensive line dominated the Falcons. Many times the Birds running backs weren’t touched until downfield.
The Eagles were very successful on the ground as they ran the ball for 208 yards. They were led by running back Ryan Mathews, who finished with 109 yards and two touchdowns.
Doug Pederson said he had great confidence in Mathews and the only reason he wasn’t used in some of those earlier games was because of a dental problem.
Who would you say are the Eagles Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of The Week? You’ve got Ryan Mathews with 109 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Defensive players Malcolm Jenkins, Brandon Graham and Connor Barwin all played well today, but which one of them played best. On Special Teams I would probably go with Kenjon Barner. What do you think?
It was great to snot only accomplished keeping atlanta off the field,it takes more importantly pressure off wentz and keeps the other defense guessingee a balanced attack ,mathews running the ball ..
