Eagles Podcast: Running Back Rotation Improving

One of the most notable elements of the game was head coach Doug Pederson’s decision to dust off Ryan Mathews and make him, along with rookie running back Wendell Smallwood, the focal points of the team’s running game.

Denny Basens and Jeff Kolsky discuss the importance of Pederson involving all of the running backs in this week’s podcast, and also give some closing thoughts on the win over Atlanta and while briefly touching on this Sunday’s game with the Seattle Seahawks.

The lower paid but very important re-signings the eagles have done on ST this week are great in sending a message- Do your job and get paid- While none of the signings are salary busters they convey a sense of team first. Every ST player that is ‘elite’ knows he can be replaced at league minimum — The eagles are really trying to build a culture, a chemistry etc. — I like it. No get me a decent receiver and another CB…
