The Philadelphia Phillies won the finale of their series with the Cubs on Sunday afternoon 6-3. Their record improves to 48-81.
On The Mound
- Nick Pivetta turned in a decent outing, allowing three runs (two earned) over five innings of work.
- Edubray Ramos came out of the bullpen to throw two scoreless innings.
- Hoby Milner got the first out of the eighth, and Luis Garcia came on to finish the frame.
- Hector Neris picked up the save in the ninth.
At The Plate
- The offense put up six runs on eight hits.
- Rhys Hoskins, yet another homer. Hoskins hit a solo shot in the eighth, he’s now homered in five straight games.
- Nick Williams went 2-4 with a two-run shot.
- Cesar Hernandez went 0-3 at the top of the order.
- Freddy Galvis went 1-4 and drove in two.
- Tommy Joseph went 0-3 with three strikeouts.
- Maikel Franco went 2-4 with a double.
- Pedro Florimon went 2-4 with a couple of singles.
- Cameron Rupp went 0-3.

Oh as if all those bombs aren’t enough, Hoskins, who isn’t a natural outfielder, managed to turn a triple play today, the first since Eric Bruntlett almost 10 years ago.
