  • Pivetta gave up three runs in the first, one in the second, one in the third, and one in the fifth.
  • Edubray Ramos got an out in the sixth before the game was called.

At The Plate

  • The offense put up three runs on five hits.
  • Cesar Hernandez had three of the team’s hits with a double and an RBI.
  • Freddy Galvis went 1-3 with a single.
  • Nick Williams went 1-3 with a two-run homer.

  • Hyunn Soo Kim went 0-2 with a walk.
  • Tommy Joseph went 0-3 with two strikeouts.
  • J.P. Crawford went 0-2.
  • Cameron Rupp went 0-2.

Final Thoughts

A rare rainshortened game sent the Phils home with their latest loss. Nick Pivetta was unable to build on the success from his previous start, getting lit up for six runs as his ERA continues to approach the 7.00’s, which is absolutely atrocious.

Opening week against the skins, division game, a full year with our young franchise QB–and 5 straight Phils articles. Make no mistake, I’m a huge fan, still watch almost every night- I’m optimistic about the Phils BUT…. come on this is GCOBB! X eagle and a football site!
Lots of confidence going into Sunday but its Washington in Washington- certainly not a must win but a “it would be an excellent win” week- go birds
