Peppers Is A Difference Maker

Pro Bowl defensive end Julius Peppers might be one of the guys, who could help the Birds rush the passer during championship games.

Have you noticed that the Birds have trouble getting to the quarterback in NFC Championship game and Super Bowl?

I think the Eagles need a pass rusher or two he can get to the quarterback without the help of a blitz package.

Just like I was talking about with regard to their wide receivers, the Eagles need a few players, who can beat their man without the help of strategy.

Those are the guys who get the job done in championship games when you can’t trick your opponent.

The big Carolina defensive end says he’ll ask to be traded if the Panthers slap the franchise tag on him before the free agent period begins later this week.  They have until Thursday to decide who they’re going to use the franchise tag on.

Unfortunately, Peppers seems intent on playing for a team that plays the 3-4 defense, which would allow him to play outside linebacker.

This means he probably won’t be playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.  Of course the Eagles play a 4-3 scheme and don’t have any plans of changing it.

Peppers feels he would be able to be more dominant if he played the outside linebacker spot rather than defensive end.

He wants to be able to drop in pass coverage as well as rush the passer.  This guy can do it all.  He has the agility to cover backs out of the backfield and stick to tight ends running their routes.
