The Eagles have done a bit of roster shuffling since Friday night’s win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team activated Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson off of the PUP list and released punter Ken Parrish.
It is extremely important that Herremans and Jackson get back out there. I’ve said all along that if the middle of that line is soft and not getting it done, you can cut your enthusiasm for Kevin Kolb, Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson probably in half. Especially without Jackson, that line just isn’t the same.
Can Jackson be back in time for the opener? I doubt it, but his agent is sure hopeful.
“Jamaal Jackson returns today!! Mission, Green Bay, September 12th,” J.R. Rickert tweeted.
As for Parrish, he wasn’t bad, but he wasn’t good enough to beat out Rocca. Hopefully, he’ll get it going with another team.
I think the way that McGlyyn and MJG has played in camp and in the first Pre-season game has
lit a fire under Herreman and Jackson and now it is time for them to get some reps and prepare for opening game, if not, they may potentially lose their starter spots…
This is a big year I think for Herreman’s who doesn;t seem to be the same player he was 2 years ago..I think he has gotten a little too comfortable and really hasn’t been pushed by anyone for starters time the last couple of camps… I think Jackson has about 2 solid years left in his knees
If Jackson is not ready, I think McGlynn may be a better option than Nick Cole at center. Cole was destroyed by the Cowboys last year and that really hurt.
