Slow Time For Tight End Pettigrew

Brandon Pettigrew who is considered the top tight end in the upcoming draft ran a 4.85 in the forty, which is considered slow for him.

He ran the forty yard dash three times but is still expected to go in the first round because he's a big smooth athlete who can block like a tackle and has good hands.

His slower time may make it a surer thing that the Eagles are able to get him when they pick late in the first round.

Jared Cook from South Carolina ran the fastest time at 4.50 which will move him up the charts.

Shawn Nelson from Southern Mississippi ran a 4.53 and was very impressive in his workout.

Cornelius Ingram from Florida ran a 4.68 and looked the part.

To no one's surprise, left offensive tackle Jason Smith of Baylor had a good day working out, so he solidified his position amongst the top ten selected.

UConn offensvie tackle William Beatty looked very good in his drills.  He surprised a lot of the scouts with his quick feet.  He's rising on draft boards right now because many of the scouts had him pegged to go in the second round.

He's considered the fifth or sixth top tackle in the draft but he's sure to be around when the Eagles make their selection in the first round.

Michael Crabtree who is considered by many to be the best wide receiver in the draft and by some as the best player in the draft,  has a stress fracture in his foot and will need surgery.  A pin will be placed in his foot and he should be fine after that.

He won't run a forty time this weekend but will run it during his pro day.

Offensive tackle Andre Smith of Alabama left Indianapolis without working out.  He said he's heading home to workout and get in better shape for his pro day in March.
